Cisse - So far...

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Not the imediate impact i hoped he'd make but I think in every game he's shown glimpses of what he can do, weather its a powerful run, quick turn, good finish etc.

It looks like he could be in for the same sort of start Pires had at Arsenal, hopefully he'll turn out to be just as good if not better.

I think he could become a superb player for us.

I think after the pre-season games we thought we had a lad who would really take the p**s out of defences and when he scored at Spurs expectation probably went higher then. The last couple of games though we have seen a young lad who still needs time to adapt and keep working hard on his game. Its tough on the lad when he probably had hopes of linking up with Owen who i believe could have been a great help to him but instead he is trying to forge a partnership with Milan, who is a player who has alot to proove to everyone at premiership level.

If he becomes as good as Pires, if not better, then we will have a hell of a player on our hands.

Like many other news to the EPL looks like he needs some time to settle in and to be playing in front of a settled midfield and team for that matter as well. Certainly looks a good prospect though probably have better idea in a few months time especially after summer/autumn period is over and the winter slog sets in. Once he has settled that pace will hopefully be terrorising Premiership defences for many seasons

His potential is there for all to see. Cisse is very raw but he has all the ingredients. Amazingly quick for a big man, turns on a sixpence and knows where the goal is. If Rafa can teach the lad to hold the ball up (something he is pretty lousy at) and use his body, size and strength to boss defenders we could have an awesome player on our hands.

Baros and Cisse aren't scoring goals. Smith is, Henry is, Reyes is. I'm a little bit worried, but hopefully now the transfer window has closed our team can settle, and we'll see some more goals.

Cisse will score goals but I'm not sure with Baros.  He needs service and creative players around him.  Liverpool should be turning the corner come the Manc game.

at this moment in time i think he's coming along niceley but there is deffo room for improvment, relies on his pace to much by just kicking the ball and chasing it. At this moment in time i dont think he's any better than Baros and im quite suprised that many people have questioned baros potential and have so much faith in Cisse.

Personally i think that both will come good they just need some time to learn how to work with each other effectively.

Not impressed with him so far, he could be another Diouf.
But its only fair to give him time i suppose :)

Glimpses ???

He has done ****** all apart from score 1 goal.

Alot of people slate Baros when Cisse has done alot less and more importantly not worked hard enough for the team.

I still believe he will be a class act but he is big enough and strong enough to be imposing himself on defenders and he needs to work on his close control.
Smith to Shankly:My thigh is a bit sore, but I think I could play.
Shankly to Fagan:Tell him,Joe.He has got no chance of playing.
Smith to Fagan:Tell him to sod off.It is not his leg,it's mine.
Shankly to Smith:Oh no son.You are wrong, son. It is not your leg.
It is Liverpool Football Club's leg.

I like cisse give him time and he'll be great, he's still trying to forge a partnership with the egotistical and selfish baros.
