Both Eto and Robben are great players with massive ego.. Their ego can sometimes destroy the unity in our team.. I think Huntelaar would be a better option..but not possible  :( He is a target man would compliment torres very well upfront

Even though I expect a bit of a clear out in the summer with Real I would not have thought he would be allowed to go so soon. There were rumors of him wanting out back when they chose to register Diarra for Europe but I don't know if there was any truth to it.

As for Robben I wouldn't want him here. He doesn't have the right attitude to play for Liverpool.

Anyway I was reading today that Gareth Barry thinks playing CL football will be the perfect way to prepare for the World Cup.

For me Etoo´ is the best striker in the world by far. The most complete. Gerrard, Torres, Etoo, Alonso, Barry, Mascherano...would be a dream team.

Etoo ??? to play where ?? we dont need to spend most of our budget on a striker - we did that last summer and look where it got us - we need a creative player who can also play out wide ie a silva or carzola . we would still need a back up striker but not blow the whole budget on one - look for one around 10 mil ish .

We have just one striker with high quality. etoo for 18 million is not too expensive.

Excellent shout that. I really like the look of him, ever since he destroyed our bous in the Youth Cup Final a few years back.

Whoever comes in will have to be prepared to be a backup though. Someone like Darren Bent who would fit into the system we play.

and with that comes a massive ego demanding to play all the time - we need cover for torres - etoo wont be happy being cover .

Well kuyt is not a right wing back for starters and three at the back ? never really worked . As for the second formation where does the width come from ? also in both of those formations you split up the torres gerrard partnership

Kuyt is a whatever you play him at. This role is not that different to what he does already. Especially with mascherano playing his side of centre.  I think we actually have a great record whenever we do decide to play 3 at the back.

the other formation would have width from different areas. Lots of free roles with people going out wide as they see fit.  Alonso proved against Maresilles at Anfield he is capable of crossing effectively from wide right, and Barry can from wide left. Plus Torres, Gerrard, and Eto'o are both capable of drifting wide and having the other two to pick out. And then the fullbacks can provide width in cases of sustained possesion. I would probably recomend also bringing in a more attacking right back in this formation, but that would depend on Barry and or Eto'o arriving on the cheap because of their contract situation.

Well, after his England U21 game last week I spoke to him over the weekend and he has revealed to me that Glasgow Rangers, Liverpool and ManU have all approached Boro looking to sign him. ManU and Liverpool offered just under £10 million for him. He's a die hard north east lad though but if Boro go down he's too good to be playing in the lower leagues.

If it comes down to personal choice he'd choose Liverpool. :p

I'd be surprised if Boro let both him and Downing go.

If they are relegated he'd be available on the cheap johnson that is as i doubt either of them want to play in the lower leagues .
