Joaquin is cr.ap

He isn't :censored: he is just not as high profile as before. But I think under Rafa he could 're invent' himself. He has the ability.

Love that name.

All things aside this season is still not over and the scum could yet win it. I would imagine he would play a big part whatever they do so come the summer Fergie could take a similar stance to what he took last Summer.

Having said that I think if/when Perez gets re elected Ronaldo will probably be his number 1 target.

wheres that Di Maria kid from Argentina... looks very good... Benfica isnt it ? lets get him... hes direct and can dribble and hit it... Babel to Italy and a few mill should do it....

and Agger AND Skrtel are both overrated by our own ... Hyypia still the best we got... Albiol would be first choice when he adapts to the league....

I think Di Maria would probably cost around 15Mil or so. Worth it though imo. We can't afford to go 2nd best this time.

Di Maria was sold to Benfica for 8 million Euros, I don't think he has done enough there to warrant doubling his price. I would hope for something like 11 or 12.

Joaquin is cr.ap

Wouldnt say he is cr ap but he has just died away ever since the 02 world cup and is nowhere near as good as he used to be . Abidol is an ok player but again he isnt that special and both agger and skittles are better than him . Banega signed for a lot for valencia but was loaned out if im correct and hasnt lived up to his billing . Miguel is a very good right back but not sure how old he is now . Vicente is more injury prone than Kewell and Degen put together.

The only two players i would really want from Valencia is Villa and Silva with silva being my first choice becuase of him fitting into our team better and think we have a good chance of getting him

Miguel turned 29 in January. A lot of players don't last that long at clubs anyway, so if his price decreases because  Valencia need to sell and he is a bit old it might make more sense to buy Miguel or threaten to, than be held for ransom over Glen Johnson.

As for Banega, he has a lot of quality, and although he hasn't lived up to expectations, that is a good thing. That should drive his price down. He is still just 20 years old, and he probably left Boca Juniors too early.  Mascherano wasn't even playing in West Ham. I think Rafa could do similar things Banega.

Valencia have said publicly that they are going to sell, but don't want to sell Silva or Villa. I don't know if they are truthful about that or are just trying to appease their fans, or are trying to drive up the price.

I also don't understand the automatic ruling out of Joaquin that some are saying. If we do go after Glen Johnson and also buy a 12-15 million pound striker to mostly be a back up for Torres, I think it would make sense to buy Joaquin to compete with Kuyt on the right, especially if a club like Madrid or Barca pays silly money for Silva that we cannot match.

honestly i dont care if that player is a big name or someone we have never heard of before. of course its nice to have famous players but i rather have players who can benefit the team as a whole. for example, who thought players like Skertel, Hyypia and Agger would be as good as they are when they first came?

But they all are defenders if we can discover some unknown attacker like that for cheap en it would be awesome  :) But do we have the time to allow that person to settle down? For eg: take a look at Higuain.. madrid kept persisting now hes becoming a very good player..

I would like to see

RB - Richards - 10 million
RM - Joaquin (maybe cheap at Valencia now) - 7 million
LM - Ribery or Silva - 20 to 25 million
AM - Johnson (cover for Gerrard) - 5 million
CF - Owen - free
Total Spend - 42 to 47 million

Dossena - 5 million
Itandje - 1.5 million
Lucas - 8 million
Pennant - free
Voronin - 4 million
Degen - 2 million
Total Received - 20.5 million

I think the above could be fairly realistically done for a spend of approx 30 million but I severely doubt it happening. Another 5 million or so could be raised by selling some unwanted youngsters. Also if we did sign the above type players maybe Kuyt or Benayoun would no longer be required. I would probably keep Kuyt ahead of Benayoun

Oh well nice to dream eh, back to my footy manager it is !!!

Raffa to give Spearing more football, looks small but handy :buttrock

Looks a very good transfer list but some changes to it
Richards ( dont see that happening)
RB- Glen Johnson - 7.5
and if i have to choose between ribery and silva i would go for ribery at 25 million
and i dont think johnson is required as CAM, if we can blood pacheco  :)
Owen or martins would be really good  :D
and i wouldnt sell Lucas, hes still young and one more season if we persist with him he might be very useful for us long term

I think if Johnson was available at around 5 million he has far more potential than Lucas. In fact from the small amount of play time Spearing has had he looks to have more potential than Lucas.

If we were to get Johnson and use Spearing more I would possibly look to loaning Lucas out for a year.

Also surely Owen at 28 years old, an ex Liverpool legend and nearly a goal every game he actually plays (ok that may not be too many) has to be worth a gamble on a Bosman
