It only takes 1 good result to lift the confidence. Then who knows how long this can go on for. Not only do we score more goals but we are playing better more effective football. We look hungrier to get forward and we are still solid in defence. We must win at Fulham. If we draw or lose people will say ok Utd lost there but so did Liverpool ect....and we do not need any more negativity to creep back in.

It's a bit of luck in that almost every shot is going in but also belief and team play. The first 11 really seem together on the pitch and have a good team spirit coupled with players looking comfortable and playing to the high standard they are all capable of.

Are we gonna get the so called 'right' answer here then?
All round the fields of Anfield Road
Where once we watched the King Kenny play (and could he play!)
Stevie Heighway on the wing
We had dreams and songs to sing
'Bout the glory, round the Fields of Anfield Road

What makes you think Ive got the 'right' answer?
:D
I agree with what most have said.
Confidence, back up against the wall, Rafa signing new contract, luck, pressure on opponents, teams not behind the ball, strongest eleven etc.

What nobody seems to have mentioned (correct me if Im wrong) is the style of play from the back. I.E. route one. I'm not sure but someone can tell me how any goals of those 13 came from clearances or direct punts up front?
Also from dead ball situations?
This (alongside good throw ins) has been lacking for me this season and now it seems to have returned.
Am I right or what?
???

Route One ? or pinpoint passes from Pepe ? route one is more of a lumping it up to a targetman for players to feed of scraps .

I think that's the way I was trying to word it. I'd say there's a big difference between route 1 football and Reina's distribution

Besides the smart ars.e answer of "because we put in in the back of the net 13 times", what is it down to?

A less conservative nature in our game.

Since the Real matches, we have gone into a very attacking mode against our opposition and it's resulted in goals.

Liverpool seem now to be getting more players into the box and it's banging off people and into the back of the net.

I think there was about 4 players in the box when Kuyt scored his rebound against Villa on the weekend.

At the beginning of the year, Robbie Keane (or whoever was up top) was lucky to have had ANYONE following the ball from midfield. More often than not, our striker was alone in the box and surrounded by different coloured shirts.

So, in short, Liverpool have attacked from midfield (and even from the fullbacks) and it's resulted in them being more of a goal threat.

Jesus, even Carragher crossed the halfway line on Sunday!

That was from a clearance that should of been cleared easily but torres but the defender under pressure and forced him to make a mistake - nothing route one about that
