I must confess, I didn't find it overly confusing. You could skip between the threads and it didn't seem to me anyway that there was huge amounts of replication, there was only one poster being abusive, did the problem come after 11pm NZ time?

Then this morning, there is a rumour (which is surely b0ll0cks) that the manager is about to be in charge for the final time. I would think despite the doubtful nature of the internet rumours, people would want to discuss the various nuances. At this time, right in the midst of the most feverish part of the debate, we decide to merge the threads so they become a jumbled mass of nonsense which are unpickable in terms of an argument? Not only that, but we call it "all your Rafa sh!t", Like the people who have concerns have no right so to do.

It's happened a few times recently, and it seems to me anyway that there is an undercurrent of forum censorship going on. I don't think I've ever complained about the mods befoe, and if there are excellent reasons for this then I apologise in advance, but I think this is not the way to go.

Multiple threads, different titles same subject.

I merged the threads, whats the problem ? none of your gospels were "censored" , they where just thrown into the mix

call yourself an Ex Mod ?

Maybe if you'd stuck with the job things would be different ? , but then again it's easier to throw stones from the sidelines.

Merge: join or combine; "We merged our resources"

Censorship: deleting parts of publications or correspondence or theatrical performances

Well to talk about censorship there should be a "deleting" part of it, no?

I have to defend the merging of threads. Imagine this situation, two threads talking about the same thing, and two good posters writing a good post in each of them, if you decide to reply both of them you may be repeating your points partly or completely.

Plus, imagine than one month later you want to remember a good post of John Craig on zonal defence. You know where it will be, in the only zonal defence thread.

It's easier to read, it's easier to make search, it makes the forum more tidy, and unless there's an accident, there are not deletions. Definitely not censorship.

I was actually trying to find that post to see who voted for wanting Rafa to leave but havent a clue where it is now.

Im ready to pounce on any of them if they come in the Rafa thread praising him.

One of the Rafa topics was about where everyone's loyalty's lie when it came to Rafa. All the names were put up and I updated it.

Now all the topics are merged I'm not wafting through them all to see if each and every post is relevant to the straw pool one

Start a new one mate and leave the poll option in as well this time if possible.

I have to admit that's a fair point and I was following that list with interest. Perhaps they should have merged everything so that the list post was still the first one.

Just do a thread Bav.

In a poll you cant see who voted. Do it just by a thread , and add names to the first post.
