not that im not bothered about the team selection and all but i think that in benayoun and babel we have 2 players who could potentially make a difference against teams that dont park the bus.. if wigan deide to give it a go like they did against manutd then i think them 2 could have a positive impact on our pay tonight.. lucas getting in the side is never good though.. have othing positiv to say about the guy unfortunately and think we'll need bring in alonso at some point ... anyways be interesting to see how this game works out or doesnt... would have had keane in there but anyways... tired of all keane talk rafa seems to hae somthing in mind concerning keane anyways and i hope he gets sold soon...

Palacios was presumeably a good player to be sold for 14 million quid (although I must confess I never saw him play), while Heskey although being extremely annoying has his moments. So it's extremely unlikely they'd be seventh without those two (Wigan seventh, feck me strong Premiership this year :D), so we are effectively playing a team who would be comfirtably in the bottom half I should think with their current personel.

Yes we've made it a tad harder than we needed to, but we really ought to still prevail.

Adding to that Valencia is also out injured, and in all honesty their team really does (on paper at least!) look like someone we should beat with the team Rafa has put out:

Wigan: Pollitt, Melchiot, Boyce, Scharner, Figueroa, De Ridder, Brown, Cattermole, Taylor, Zaki, Mido.

Don't forget that we have Chelsea on the weekend.  We really need to win that one.

alright lemme try it...
shitty...

Yes there was a meeting of the censorship committee the other day. It was held in one of the dockside bars in Liverpool (so I'm told). All the usual faces were there, Leon, Ciggs, Judgie, Lando etc. bad Bob flew in from Canada (all on the exes of course), St MIck bobbed down the motorway from Middlesboro, Red 37 took a break from his university lecturing circuit and various other members made their first appearance. I couldn't make it, which was just as well as I wasn't actually invited.

The meeting took all day, and was split up with Nannie doing the cheffing, serving up "Panne of Scouse en croute" which was a funny thing by all accounts, but tasty nontheless. The regulation pan of scouse had a lump of french bread with melted sainsbury's pre grated cheddar on top, prompting whispers that Nanny had "changed since she moved to Charlton".

Anyway, top of the agenda were swearwords. "Shitty" was universally approved, although a side motion that c.untface and c.untfeatures (proposed by Ciggy and seconded by Nan) was narrowly voted down. Even a last minute amendment proposing that "c.untyb0ll0cks" and "c.untychops" (jointly proposed by Lando and Judge) was narrowly defeated on this occasion.

The chair (Bob) hasd the casting vote, and vetoed the proposal on the grounds that he knew both of the amended phrases would be used against me continuously, and would be to the detriment of the forum. A good day was had by all though, although some felt the expense was hard to justify when the only change to the forum rules was that "shitty" is now permitted.

Alonso and Gerrard got over-run in midfield in the home game by the more mobile Wigan midfield and forwards, so maybe Lucas and Masch being more mobile will cope better? Plus we have Chelsea next up and will need a fit and firing on all cylinders Alonso for that match.
