David Villa: 12 goals so far this season.
The Sun reports that Jose Luis Tamargo, Villa's agent, met City representatives on Monday to discuss a five-year contract worth £150,000-a-week. :(

Villa would be a nice addition to any team, but I don't think he is going to be that much of a threat.  I don't think he will be suited for the premier league, but I am prepared to eat my words  :)

Does anyone knows if Rafa has any transfer money comes Jan? Also, it seems more likely that Agger will be gone by then as rumours keep coming back Milan is going to get him. It would be difficult with Skrtel and Agger thriving for the same position. Who would you guys prefered? I think most fans would want to keep both as I think they will make a killing combo but with Carra, it seems Agger might be the one that will suffer. I think if Agger leaves, he will become world class as he has all the attributes and very much suited for the Italian League.

maypaxvobiscum wrote:Valencia, are leading the race ahead of Liverpool and La Liga rivals Barcelona to sign Brazilian starlet Keirrison, with Los Che opening talks with the young Brazilian’s management company, according to Sport.

19-year-old Keirrison currently plays for Brazilian club Coritiba and was a pivotal figure in the Coxa Branca winning the Campeanato Serie B last season and has shone in the top-flight of Brazilian football this season.

Keirrison has an incredible strike-rate for Coritiba, with the young forward scoring 54 goals in 100 appearances for the Brazilian side since making his senior debut in 2007 after coming through the youth system at the club.

Sport claim that Valencia are willing to pay £8million to bring Keirrison to the Mestalla and have opened talks with Traffic, who own 80% of the striker’s registration, with Coritiba owning the other 20%.

Keirrison is expected to leave Coritiba in January, with Valencia now appearing to lead Premier League club Liverpool and Barca in the chase for the highly rated youngster.

However, the 20% stake of Keirrison that Coritiba own is believed to be complicating the talks with Valencia, which could leave the door open for a move to the Nou Camp or Anfield.

Hopefully with Lucas going the other way.

Whats Lucas got to do with Keirrison?

Liverpool target  By Jonathan Goldsmith, Mirror.co.uk

Liverpool have been linked with Shakhtar Donetsk defender Dmytro Chygrynskiy in the Januray transfer window. Here's your at-a-glance guide to the Ukrainian dynamo:

1) He was born on November 7th, 1986 in the Ukrainian city of Iziaslav.

2) He joined Shakhtar Donetsk at the age of 14 and made his was up through their youth set-up.

3) A towering 6'3" centre back, he made his debut in the Ukrainian Premier League in 2004, aged just 17, and has gone on to make 84 appearances and score six goals.

4) And here he is, scoring one of them for Shakhtar:

5) A natural born leader, he'd already captained Shakhtar in the Ukrainian Cup final by the time he was 20, and is currently the team's full-time vice-captain

6) He was was voted man of the match in his second Ukrainain Cup final - a thumping 2-0 victory over rivals Dynamo Kiev.

7) He made his Champions League debut aged just 18 when he came on as a substitute against the mighty Barcelona.

8) He was selected for the 2006 UEFA U-21 Championship team of the tournament and called up to the senior side sonn after. Injury cruelly forced him to sit out the 2006 World Cup, but he has since gone on to earn 15 caps.

9) He's attracted a lot of interest from European clubs, but the good news for Liverpool is that he's keen on a move to the Premier League:

“A move to a  big club in England would be a dream for me," Chygrynskiy told the Ukrainian press, recently.

"I cannot say the names, but two big Premier League clubs want me, and my agent has been talking to them for some time."

10) if he does come to England then journslits will be dreading spelling the youngster's full name : Dmytro Anatoliyovych Chyhrynskyi. Spell checks at the ready, lads.

Madrid boss Ramos ready to swoop for Alonso

According to reports in Spain Real Madrid’s new manager Juande Ramos is gearing up for a big money bid in January for Liverpool’s creative midfielder Xabi Alonso.

The 27-year-old who moved to Merseyside from Real Sociedad in 2004 has been the subject of great interest from Arsenal in recent months, with Gunners’ boss Arsene Wenger apparently making a bid for the player on deadline day on September 1st.

It is unclear at this stage whether Rafa Benitez would consider allowing the player to leave given the important role the Spaniard has played this season alongside Steven Gerrard and Javier Mascherano.

Known for his eye-of-the-needle passing and spectacular goals, Alonso’s profile in his homeland was further raised by his appearances for Spain in their Euro 2008 success. Real Madrid are suffering from an extraordinary injury crisis and new man Ramos has decided to act swiftly and decisively as soon as the transfer window opens.

With Mahamadou Diarra ruled out for the season and doubts lingering over the season-long sustainability of midfield Dutch quartet Wesley Sneijder, Rafael van der Vaart, Royston Drenthe and Arjen Robben, Ramos is known to be scouring the Premier League for replacements.

This week alone the former Spurs boss has been linked with moves for Portsmouth’s Lassana Diarra and Didier Zokora, however, it now appears he has set his sights on the Liverpool man.

Agger will be staying here unless rafa stops playing him , i have no idea why he left him out yesterday , i'd rather he play left back , at least he can dribble and defend as well , good a good left leg and shot in him .
