Its like that bullsh'itter Cameron for the Tory party as well!
He's another sickening kunt that,showing TV clips of him and his wife n kids eating bran flakes in the morning!
Oh holy fu'ck..politicians have breakfast........I'd never have thought!

Its easy for anyone to point out problems in politics and say i will do this that and the other.I'll make schools better,the health service too,sort out the credit crunch.Talk and promises are easy,anyone can make them.
I dare say though that this :censored:

will probably be our next PM because Labour have not been great,bottom line is he'll be as bad as Blair and Brown before him and inevitably the masses will get bored(like they are of labour now) and vote labour back in again after a few years!

Just like the Yanks will get bored of Obama too....bottom line is politics sre complex and the average joe voter does'ny fully understand it all.they just like changing their figurehead every few years..like wallpaper or carpet!

Bav, believe me I want change as much as anyone but it's not going to happen. You may not see it from outside, but US is turning into a fascist state at an alarming rate. More and more laws are being passed to make the fed gov stronger everyday, and if anyone researches the patriot act, they would see what I mean. Obama is already talking about how he wants to get the youth involved with the gov, by making them do national service for a certain amount of time. Am I just crazy, or does this remind you of anyone?

I do agree with most of your post, but whats with taking that little extra dig? Not everyone is like that.

Well in fairness and considering todays younger society that wouldnt be a bad idea over here (over here being the UK). Times have changed and young British kids run a muck nowadays, getting away with all sorts while getting upto all sorts. I dont know this situation regarding the US, but kids today need more discipline and respect for others around them, British kids while getting away with murder (a figure of speech) and fecking lazy when it comes to work are fast becoming the next generation of asbo's. Nothing is instilled into them as far as respect, discipline and honesty goes because generally young teenage parents mirror their bad habits and lazyness onto their kids.

Read this, I quoted this from Ghengis on talk lfc and it probably rings true.....

" Theyre already "one of us"....In fact given the decline of our lazy bitch kids today, one might ev en argue that former colonies, (I'm thinkin India here) are "more" British than we are. ("I know my place" or "Class V Cast"). They still have rigid discipline and social order, essential items for expansive and progressive society."

All in all Obama bringing in NS may not be such a bad thing, especially if you have issues with with the younger generation becoming lazy, disrespectful and violent on your streets.

NS (national slavery/service) is a double edged sword as it either makes you more patriotic or makes you hate your country for wasting your time. you learn alot - weapon skills, teamwork, tactics, etc..but it also wastes 2 years (in my case) of your life especially in a country where the cost of living is rising and the emphasis in education is so massive.

many people whom are regulars in the army now, when i asked them, they tell me the reason why they signed up is because they didnt have much education and the money is good. so in a way, its good as it also offers an alternative source of income but it raises questions ''are people in it for the money or coz they really care?''

Firstly two years isnt really a long time in your life, and ontop of that NS will character build kids of today who have hardly any morals. Even if its only a little they'll learn to respect and appreciate things more in the bigger picture. And rather than just hang around on the streets with PC on their side while mugging old granny's they'll but doing NS and having discipline and respect rammed into them where their dolite parents couldnt.

They dont have to make a career out of it, but if the money was a good temptation then why shouldnt they take that into consideration. Feck I'm a Plumber and dont enjoying unblocking sewage sh.it and tampons every other day becasue I enjoy it, I do because of the money. If I could do another job just aswell or better for better money I would.

its true about the discipline bit. it teaches you alot. and i had more fun then i thought i ever would in the service. it teaches you think you wouldnt be able to ever learn off the streets.

National service is good for sorting out troubled youths. If we had never abolished it im sure we wouldnt have a hoody knife culture. Im not saying send the kids on operations though as history has already proven forced conscription doesnt not work and will only serve to turn the media and ultimatley the public against the government. (eg Vietnam)

true, thats why i call it national slavery (ns). especially for a country like singapore. its so tiny, one bomb and we would be wiped off the map for good. it used to be 2 and 1/2 yrs. now its been reduced.

my issue with it is that the guys have to go in when they are 18. that is the period when they are either in college or university and by getting them to go for this bull all of the sudden really disrupts their education. and by the time they are out, they will be 20 or 21...and by the time they are done with their degree they are 24 or 25...and only THEN will they be able to earn proper income for their future and family.

i do see the good points in it, but 2 years is crazy. thats why people hate it and so many of us left the country.
