He dont look too happy holding Benny the rake!
Better than sitting on sidelines doing feck all though!

Yeah im confident for tomorrow night i reckon we'll score a few but i'd take 1-0!
Does'nt say a lot for them as a team if their fans are thinking like that!A big win would be great for squad confidence before the city game though..4-0 would do nice!

i think they are thinking about staying away... so they only lose with 3-0 (that is the score what you will get if you dont play)

Plenty of us thought we'd see off Marseille pretty comfortably at Anfield in last year's competition and look what happened.

We should win this one but I won't be expecting a cricket score.  Anything can happen in the Champions League though, we of all clubs should know that!

I wouldn't be tempted to rotate and would play the same team that beat Everton, where everyone played well except for Dossena imo.

I think this is the game where Keane gets off the mark.

I've been thinking every game is the one Keane gets off the mark John! :D
It will come soon, hopefully tomorrow night...he's too good a player not to be scoring goals!

Definitely.  The longer he goes without scoring the more likely he is to score in the next game, as with all good strikers, so I might stick a bet on Keane for first goal tomorrow! :;):

I don't want to jinx Keane with a prediction, I'll just say that forgetting about the money he costed, I'm very happy he's at Liverpool.

Any ways back to the topic.

Keane will score and if babel doesn't start this game its a crime !

I like to see this line up

           blaaa
blaaa blaaa blaaa blaaa
blaaa blaaa blaaa Babel
       Keane Torres

I let you guys fit the Blaa's in as I know you love that bit.

Everyone appreciates you like Babel mate , don't ruin every post proving it.

I would play Babel tonight if for no other reason than he will probably have a point to prove against a Dutch side and so may up his game.

Hopefully Keane will break his duck if he plays and Torres will make his goals against Everton into a streak by getting another tonight.

3-0 Plessis, Darby and Nemeth!!! :p

Except Hyypia isn't in the CL squad, probably one or two of the others aren't either  :upside:

I'd keep with a fairly normal line up, maybe even revert to Torres up front on his own. And keep Babel and RobKeaneho to bring on later if needed or simply to try and prove their respective points

------------------Cavalieri----------------

Arbeloa--Carragher--Skrtel--Aurelio

---------------Mascherano--------------

Kuyt----Alonso----Gerrard----Riera

------------------Torres-----------------

If Aurelio is fit, I read somewhere Mascherano is and another player but I can't remember who

It should be the kind of game where players can get goals if they really want, however we want three points and make our qualification campaign solid before personal goals are scored (in more ways than one)

RAFA: I WON'T MAKE MANY CHANGES
Paul Eaton 01 October 2008
Rafael Benitez today revealed the form of his key players this season has made it difficult for him to rotate his starting eleven.
The Reds boss is preparing his side for a Champions League test with PSV Eindhoven tonight, and has already revealed he has no intention of making wholesale changes against a side who suffered a damaging 3-0 defeat at the hands of Atletico Madrid in their opening match.

With Liverpool going into the game with three points already on the board after an emphatic victory in Marseille, Benitez is keen for his 'on fire' players to keep their current momentum going.

"We have the experience of last season," he admitted "I won't make many changes. If some players are on fire, maybe it is a good moment to keep them playing.

"Normally we try to check how the players are physically, mentally and also how the team is tactically – and then we decide whether we will change more or less players.

"But now we are in a good position so I do not think that I will change too many.

"When some players are playing well, but are tired, you say 'okay maybe we will have to keep them in.' But then you play them, they are tired and you have to change them in a game!

"You never know. If you win, you can say 'okay fantastic decision,' but I don't think I will change too many players.

"When we were analysing things this week we knew we had four days between the Everton match and this one and four days between this match and the Manchester City game. Three days is not enough, four days is better."
