3-0 Plessis, Darby and Nemeth!!! :p

Are you serious ? PSV may not be the power they were but they'd laugh at the selection, as do I.

Lets show the oppo a bit more respect.

If fit we should be sending out our strongest 11, we can mess about with fielding reserves once qualification to the next stage is assured.

I know what you mean mate , but I do think we should take some advantage of the fixture to give some of our players a run out while resting others ahead of the vital League games coming up. After all is this team THAT MUCH WORSE than our strongest side :-

                      Reina
Arbeloa     Carra       Agger       Aurelio

Benayoun     Gerrard     Mascherano     Babel/Reira

                    Kuyt/Torres   Keane

but it would allow Agger, Aurelio, Mascherano, Benayoun and Babel to get a run out and give other players a rest.

Well looking at that team Saint I see you're planning to rest Skrtle, Dossena, Alonso, Riera and possibly Torres. With the exception of Torres your suggested changes may not make a significant difference to the strength of the team but does raise the question do the players you've left out feel they need a rest this early in the season ? and is it a good idea to change a team that is finally showing some good form just to rest said players. Unless I'm mistaken after PSV (Oct 1st) and Man City (Oct 5th) we only have the Carling Cup match before we play Wigan in the prem (Oct 18th). Surely that two week period between the Man City and Wigan games is when we can rest ALL our key players ? .

3-0 for the reds at anfield :D

i knew what you meant  :D

lot of people reckon we'll bag 3 against them. I'll go for a good performance but only a 1-0 scoreline

mate, remember my prediction against stoke? I predicted a 4-0 win and alot were shocked with my post

:D

Im always like that.

I don't think this is a good time to rest people, we need to qualify as early as possible.

i would prefer if where going to rest players then do it in these games, on saying that even resting the likes of gerrard and torres the team will still be a strong one.

3.1 for me

Carnt believe ppl want to change the team. Keep it the same (barring injuries) we had all this rotation thing last season.Rafas learnt his lesson. Don,t want to know about players being tired, that,s BULL when a team are winning, it breeds confidence. If the players car,nt play all the games, they should,nt be playing football. You may say that it,s more demanding now. IT AIN,T when we were in our pomp we played same team week in, week out. Think about it, if you work for a company. if the same staff stay together after time things gel.If you have a staff turnover on a regular basis it,s very hard to get any cohesion. FACT

Yeah but nobody does that anymore, because there's just too many games now and a lot of players burn out by the end of the season, if they're not rested.  Remember what happened to Arsenal last season?  Do you think that we should keep player's like Mascherano, Agger and Babel on the bench?  Rotation is good but the key's to not overdue it.

I'd go with this team for PSV...

              Reina
  Arbeloa,Carra,Agger,Aurelio
   Kuyt,Gerrard,Alonso,Babel
              Torres,Keane

I think thats the international break though mate, so most of our players will be jetting off all over the world on international duties. (i.e. England play on the 11th and 15th of October )

As for the rest of your points ...... I can hardly argue with them mate as I have been using the same points in my own arguments both this and last season :D

I would think N'Gog would be ruled out due to playing in a ressie friendly on monday. Not that he would be alll that tired, but you just wouldn't give him the ok to play if he was anywhere near Rafa's thoughts of playing, he would have been training with the 1st team instead.  And don't forget that Hyypia and Plessis are not eligible. Nemeth is injuried and isn't eligible either. Next time when you mean to say throw in the kids in a CL match, you should throw out the names : Kelly, Eccleston, Irwin, Spearing, Darby, Hansen, and Flynn

Carling Cup match is November 12.  It is quite spaced out.  The next round is played around December 1

2 legged semis are on the 6th and 20th of January

and the final is 1st of March

At least we're not the early KO after the International break, Rafa's words to the FA may have had some effect.
