DeNiro and Pacino, any movie with thoes two in it has to be worth a watch!! :D
Gonna watch it later!!

Saw that advertised at the cinema the other week and agree that it looks to be a cracker. Just hope that it lives up to the promise of having Pacino and De Niro in it.

Cant get a good enough copy yet!
Any version i've come across is shot by a cam in the cinema, you can hear people coughing and see people walking past with popcorn! :D
Feck that,it's still a bit new, hopefully can get a better copy in a few days!

I watched a remake of a classic! :)
The Hitcher.I loved the 86 version! Now,Sean Bean is not as good as Rutger Hauer but he does play it well and is almost as creepy.
As far as remakes go,its the usual story..its not AS good! But its still good and closer to the original than most remakes are,a waste of effort.
Well worth a watch.
If anyone has'nt seen the original, maybe they've seen Wolf Creek, its a tension movie in that sort of mould..good show! :nod

Watched bits of The Love Guru. Every bit I see made me laugh so will have to watch it all. My missus was watching it and said it was brilliant. Incidentally, why do directors remake classic films? why cant they take a rubbish film from the past and remake that one into something enjoyable? Just a thought.

Taken - Pretty good action movie as ex CIA man Liam Neeson races around Paris trying to recover his daughter from Albanian sex slave traders. I like Neeson as an actor but somehow I found him unconvincing as an all action hero . The movies being touted as the best action film since "Bourne", don't let that confuse you into thinking it's in the same class as the Bourne movies, it isn't, but it is worth the watch. 6.5/10

No denying the power of the performances and the brilliant execution of this movie (I thought Ellen Burstyn deserved an oscar for her performance). It is however possibly the most depressing film I've ever seen, painful, shocking, grubby and shot through with an overwhelming atmosphere of hopelessness and inevitable decay.  Emo's will love the movie, personally my first impulse after viewing it was to take a hot shower to scrub away the miasma of depression the film had envoloped me in and then go for a walk in the park to inhale lungfulls of fresh air.

that show really reminded me of my life and i had some trouble watching it. wanting to please his mom but not having the resources to do so and having a girlfriend who eventually found things like alcohol, ciggs, etc more important that your partner and willing to do the things she did (but she didnt do @ss-2-@ss  :D  ) to get what she wanted. it just made me realize how messed up things could've been if i was still with her.

the perfomance was absolutely stunning. Ellen Burstyn was immense in the movie. i would recommend anyone to watch it.

TBH it is being truthful when it says it's the best action movie since Bourne. However they don't tell you that every action movie since Bourne has been a big pile of WANK!!!

I totally agree with you Woof about Neeson not being a convincing all action hero, maybe 10 years ago he'd have suited this role better but now he's just that bit too old for it.

One thing that really bugged me was the condecending tone to the dialogue throughout this movie. It's as if the director thought that majority of the films target audience were gonna be braindead inbred rednecks and everything had to be over emphasised so that they could follow the film.
