What can parry do ? He's on direct orders from the owners whom he has :censored: off . He has to stay within the budget assigned by the owners and TBH , if this carries on Rafa should just walk . The worst we can end up with is 4th .

Liverpool are keeping tabs on Grenoble midfielder Sofiane Feghouli.
The 18 year-old midfielder has been a long-term target for Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez and the Premiership club may be forced into action with Inter Milan and Juventus also now showing interest. (tribalfootball.com)

The player himself has stated he believes his type of playing is best suited to the English Premier League. (goal.com)

£8m-rated midfielder Feghouli has been a prominent figure in the rumour sections of many papers and websites for about 18 months now. The club he represents, minnows Grenoble Foot 38, secured promotion to Ligue 1 last term. In doing so, even more speculation has arisen about a move for the French Under-19 international. This report suggests that a move may materialise soon as result of intense movement by the Italian giants Inter and Juventus.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Liverpool are looking to Denmark again for fresh talent with Mathias Jorgensen on Rafa Benitez’s radar.
Jakob Friis-Hansen, who is set to be appointed as The Reds’ scout in the area, has revealed that Benitez is keeping tabs on the progress of the FC Copenhagen midfielder.
“I have previously advised Liverpool over two Danes, with Daniel Agger and Nicola Savic, both of whom they purchased and are almost too happy with,” said Friis-Hansen to Sporten.dk.
“I gave them Mathias Jorgensen’s name a long time ago and Liverpool are wild about him. They are keeping very good track of him.
“Liverpool see him as a very promising youngster, like I do, and clearly just like a player who will play for the Danish national team for many years to come.” (Setanta Sports)

Already valued in the £6m bracket, Mathias has been a big hit since moving to FC Copenhagen and has already represented the Danish under-21 side, even though he only turned 18 in April. He can play in the centre of defence as well as defensive midfield and, if captured by Benitez, would be yet more exciting young talent at the Merseyside club.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It was widely reported last week that Liverpool were sending a team over to Germany to negotiate with Borussia Dortmund for their exciting Polish winger Jakub Blaszczykowski.

This morning it has been reported that Liverpool are closing in on him, in the light of Benitez’s failure to sign Gareth Barry.

Rafa has repeatedly said that they need a left-footed player urgently, and Blaszczykowski certainly looks to fit the bill.(footylatest.com)

Jakub Blaszczykowski, or Kuba for short, is apparently very keen to make the switch, even though those running the German side are not very happy about losing one of their star players. The young Pole is apparently a very exciting player to watch, able to beat his man and send in top class crosses, he was due to represent his country at the Euro but was forced out with an injury.

He is in charge of negotations! the guy is too nice, people like Peter Kenyon are ruthless and cut throat, Parry never gets contracts sorted and lets them run down, etc.

You only have to look at the Steven Gerrard situation when he nearly left as he felt the club didnt care about him, LFC knew all about this and where was Rick Parry?........................................... On holiday in fookin Barbados!!!!!

It's not a rumour but a fact that the renewal of his contract is stopped, and now Barcelona is after him after SIlva not being available. Maybe we are after him too? (the release clause is under 15M I think)

Riera? I like the player. If it was for footballing attributes Babel is better than him, but decissions also count in football  and Riera is the kind of player that will make things easy, will give you a number of goals a season, a very good option.

Good enough for me Sabre.

Maybe he is a better option than barry based on what you're saying.

According to a portuguese newspaper Liverpool can re enter for Quaresma. Surely better than those Riera's and Blaszczykowski's that I think aren't good enough...

Here's the new(translated online):

Liverpool can re enter the race for Quaresma

Ricardo Quaresma is the name that most often has been written in newspapers over the past two months. - There are emerging, one of these days, any one study, those who almost surprised us to say that. Goes to Inter, stays on FC Porto, worth 40 million euros least one euro, Real Madrid put themselves in history, Mourinho says yes, then says no, in typical Portuguese coach when someone wants to much.

And now there is Liverpool, to shuffle the accounts and ignite further the theme, which is increasingly a serious risk to those reports, since time is of speculation, counter-information and deliberate confusion and taste the interests of each a ... The British press put it yesterday among the targets of Rafael Benitez, and two publications speak to prospects for supply of around 20 million pounds, about 25.5 million, still short of what the FC Porto want, but , To spice things up the war of nerves as Inter, an undeniable good offer ... if confirmed, as appropriate. Kenyon looks good because RA has counless millions, David Gill is runnning the most successful global brand with 10 years of consistent growth and investment behind them. We are starting front a standing start with f-all capital behind us, a stadium to finance and two yanks in-breds who pretended they were prepared to sink capital into the club then deceived us all.

Differing scenarios wouldnt you say?

Chelsea set to sign £32m Robinho

Real Madrid's Brazil forward Robinho has announced he wants to leave the Spanish champions to join Chelsea.

Last Updated: 2:43PM BST 22 Aug 2008

Let me go: Robinho has announced he wants to leave Real Madrid and join Chelsea in a "dream" move to the Premier League Photo: AFP
Chelsea chief executive Peter Kenyon travelled to Madrid earlier today in a direct attempt to complete the club's priority transfer of the summer.

And it is understood Real will now reluctantly bow to Chelsea and the player's demands should they receive an offer close to their £32 million valuation.

"I dream of playing in the Premier League," he revealed. "Chelsea have a great squad, a great team, and they've made an offer that's great for both me and Real Madrid.

"I have nothing against my current team, to whom I'm very grateful, but at this point my goal is to leave here and I hope that everything will be resolved as soon as possible."

Madrid president Ramon Calderón has refused sell the "non-transferable" player following his failure to lure Cristiano Ronaldo from Manchester United.

Yet despite Calderon's insistence that Robinho is happy to stay at the Bernabeu, and having rejected three previous offers from Stamford Bridge, Robinho told the EFE news agency that he is desperate to join compatriot Luiz Felipe Scolari in London.

"The president (Ramon Calderón) said to Robinho that if a 40 million euros offer appears, he would let him leave," said Robinho's outspoken representative, Wagner Ribeiro at the beginning of the week

Furthermore, reports in Italian sports daily Corriere dello Sport claim Robinho's imminent Chelsea arrival will signal the departure of Florent Malouda, who is set to join Serie A outfit Roma.

Although Malouda, who only arrived last season from Lyon for £13.5 million, wants to stay at the club, it is believed Scolari favours England international Joe Cole ahead of the France winger in the pecking order and his first team opportunities would be limited this season.
