It was so far fetched it was ridiculous, but a little entertaing. Just dont think I could watch em all the time.

 , thank f'uck I missed that one , clearly a 2/10   :D

:D

I'm positive you'd of given it a modest 6/10 Woof.

It was funny more than anything, is that the kind of genre of Chinese films  you watch or are they a bit more serious then ?

8/10

Watched Trans-Siberian based on the comments in this thread.

What a disappointment. Paper thin plot, I was really expecting a whole lot more.

5/10

   :(

Typical Woof rating  :D

How can someone rate those silly Chinky films so highly, yet label decent films as "thin plot".

Oh well each to their own.

"Silly Chinky" films   :D

Yeah there's loads of them out there as well.

( Out of interest how many have you seen   ??? )

I've only seen a couple the father in law loves them.

I saw one about a big Goldern hand ? and this Chinese fella running through the air kicking :censored: out of people in this village.

:D  This b.loody thing was even more far fetched than Bond believe it or not.

I did enjoy it a bit, but like I said before I hate reading subtitles and I prefer a more believable plot, rather than little Chinky fellas doing somersaults up into the heavens, flying back down to earth and nimbley landing on a washing line, while making funny noises out of his mouth, then killing everyone in site at 100 mph :D

Across the board mate, historical epics, comedy's, drama's, martial arts, war, crime, horror etc etc.

You should have a browse through the Asian Invasion thread some outstanding movies mentioned in their that even someone who doesn't like subtitles would enjoy.

Yeah I may have a butchers at them Woof, like the historical epics, war and crime.

I would imagine there are some crackers of films in there, maybe I need to move outside the box more.

Tropic Thunder had so much potential, but only Robert Downy Jr. was able to make some good laughs.  The intro to the movie is something new and really cool, but the middle/end is quite strange and not the direction I thought the movie would go.

I'd say 7.5/10

It is a funny movie, but I thought it would have more clever humor in it.  I did enjoy the movie, but I thought it would be a lot better.

I saw Felon, and it was a great movie.  It didn't have a big budget, but the actors and the story made this one of the best movies of it's type.  I highly recommend this movie to anyone who liked the Shawshank Redemption or American History X.  9/10

Saw Tropic Thunder again, made up my mind on it.  I liked it, but for all the up tight types you might be offended on the word "retard" thrown around.  Not sure how all movie rankings are here, but heres some of mine for comparison:

Gladiator: 9.5
The Dark Knight: 9.5
Wedding Crashers: 8.5
Iron Man: 9
Zoolander: 8
Dont Mess With the Zohan: 7

Tropic Thunder: 7.5

I enjoy most movies, some of my ratings are genrous  :D

I watched Hellboy 2 last night, enjoyable but not a classic. Im enjoying more books these days, more entertaining than the tripe known as "movies" being released. The movies that are on show are simply disappointing, no more no less, Holllywood is poor, and the rest in its shadow is worse.  The future doesnt look good for movies.
