As pointed out on lfctv a few days back, if we beat united on both occasions insted of losing 1-0 and 3-0, we would have finished above them in the league. Our results against the other 3 threats (excluding hull with their force of barmby and windass) just arn't good enough.

now i have wrote this random sentence above i have realised i am in the rumor thread and not general....sooooo....hmmmmmmm......

Spanish right back heads to Anfield

Liverpool have added yet another youngster to their ranks with the capture of Spanish teenager Emmanuel Mendy.

Mendy arrives at Anfield from Murcia Deportivo, after Rafa Benitez persuaded him to sign a three-year deal with the Merseyside giants.

Primarily a right back, Mendy is extremely versatile and can play on either side of the defence.

At 18 years of age, the Spaniard is tipped for a bright future and will go straight into Gary Ablett’s reserve setup.

Mendy’s strengths are his athleticism and strength, belying his diminutive build.

I reckon Rafa has missed one major signing.....a set of ear plugs for Ablett now that he has added a whack load of Spanish kids to the youth ranks.
If these new chisellers are anything like the noisy obnoxious teenagers who throng my beautiful city year to year, Mr Ablett will be mutt 'n jeff in no time :laugh:
