Olympiacos have made contact with Liverpool for striker Andriy Voronin.
The 29 year-old Ukraine international has been linked with a move away and is also interesting Borussia Dortmund and Hamburg.

Not surprised Stevie Heighway resigned when Rafa told him he was no longer a football coach but the headmaster of the biggest school in the country.

he is going to play in the reserves not the U18s. My guess is that he is there to let either Darby or Insua go on loan.

Striker nearing Anfield move
by Laurent Picard, 24 July 2008
Reports in France claim that David Ngog has arrived on Merseyside and is on the verge of committing his long-term future to Liverpool.

Paris Saint Germain confirmed to setantasports.com on Wednesday that the striker was allowed to miss training for ‘exceptional reasons’ and rumours are growing regarding a permanent switch to Anfield.

French reports have claimed that 19-year-old Ngog, the cousin of former Newcastle centre back Jean-Alain Boumsong, arrived in Liverpool on Wednesday evening to visit the club and undergo a medical.

The attacker, who has only scored once in the top flight, is rated at £1.5 million and is believed to have agreed to make the step to Premier League football despite his lack of experience.

Rafa Benitez signed unknown Spaniard Emmanuel Mendy from Spanish third division side Murcia Deportivo on Wednesday, and the tactician appears to be ready to add another youngster to his squad.
