Squad numbers - Number 7?

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Always prefer to number my players thus

GK 1
CBs 5 & 6
FBs 2 & 3
DM 4
AM 8
RM/LM 7 & 11
CFs 9 & 10

Sadly that might make Pennant the obvious candidate for no 7, I haven't heard any rumours linking him with a move elsewhere so is Rafa keeping him?

In the good old days of the "W" "M" formation

                                 GK/1

Full back /2           Centre Half/5              Full back/3

               Wing back/4          Wing back/6

            Inside right/8                     Inside Left/10

Right winger/7                                      Left winger/11
                            Centre forward/9

Ryan will get number 7 and Keane 10.

I think I'd rather that were the other way round, give Babel Barnes' old number and Keane the number seven shirt.

They won't be leaving it vacant in honour of Kewell that's for sure!

I've always seen Kuyt in the No 7 shirt once Kewell went, I think we're gonna see a good season from him.

I dont think any of the current squad are worthy of the number 7 shirt, im hoping that we will be bringing in a quality winger before the transfer window closes who can have that honour

The again we gave kewell that honour and look what happened to him, his legs fell off
