The Dutch league ain't that strong either and I remember Kuyt scoring extremely regularly there, unfortunately once he got himself involved in a decent league the goals dried up before too long. Similarly the German League is currently not of a high standard and therefore any achivements by Toni while playing for the strongest team in the league must be placed firmly into context.
It is this, and the fact that during the Euro's he was absolutely sh!t which has led me to believe that he is a limited player. With the greatest respect, even though he hasn't displayed his club form there is absolutely no comparison whatsoever to Torres at these championships and Toni. Though it's not really happening for him, you can still see Torres is a top player. You can tell that from where he goes, when he goes there, how quickly he gets there, his first touch, his awareness, his technique. Toni on the other hand proved that he is quite tall.
Well he was top scorer in the Seria A too Bigmick, scored an odd of 25-29 goals there! moved to Germany and kept on scoring. Thats a sign of a good striker.
Didn't Toni do the samething with Italy, went to right positions got the ball and missed

He was unfortunatley stripped of a legitamite goal against Romania and in that game he was with Grosso one of their best players, always a threat. Against France he closed down defenders so they won't push up or letting them make mistakes, so they did with the penalty, and it was Toni who got it for them because of his nice and tidy work from him.
Not saying Toni is a better player than Torres, not alot of strikers are better than Torres at the moment. Torres is pure class, but he hasn't shown it in Spain as much as he has shown it in Liverpool.
