Do you mean Tommy Smiths Testimonial peewee? I think it was on TV on The Big Time with Esther Rantzen.

Smithy give him a right bollocking for not losing enough weight and told him he could only play for 30 mins or something.

Back in the day, Manhattan had football sticker books.

I particularly liked those shiny foil club badge stickers.

I always used to walk it from the ice rink when I was young, and use the kop entrance on Kemlyn rd. Even when I was older and started going in a car, I always used the same entrance. I think the only time I ever used a different entrance was against Everton when I couldn't get a ticket and had to slip a steward a few quid to get me in.

I only ever went in the Anfield road end once - against Ipswich last match of the season (just to see what it was like), and the paddock about 3 or 4 times with my dad. I never ever went in the boys pen either.

I loved being right in the middle of the kop, get a crashbarrier behind me (when I was young I used to sit on it  :D  ) and shout my head off.

Some lad by us used to take a plazzy bottle every game cause he coulnt be botherd to fight his way out to the toilet.
i still see him sometimes at the match now and make a show of him . We were at Leeds Utd ground yars ago and we seen him all done up in a suit . Me and my big gob said weres your plazzy bottle as a joke , he was with some other fellas in suits and they looked at him, i told them what the joke was . Bloody Hell he only turned out to be a solicitor for Health and Safety.

they saw the funny side anyway but he was a scally when we knew him

I was standing outside the the entance to the kop and the queue was right down oakfield road , there was this big f.uckoff bizzy on a horse and he was pushing the beast against us all keeping us in line . We were getting shat on and everything ,anyway this horse turned round and nipped this fella's arm who was stood just infront of me and me mate. The next thing this fella ran at the horse and bit the fecker on the side , a big chunk it was . THe horse bolted with this copper shouting and screaming for help . We were p!ss!ing ourselves laughing.
