He has been great Ronaldo. But Torres had to adapt to the league and has just about scored as many goals as the Portugese star this season.. I just think if we win the Champions League (and perhaps Chelsea winning the League would help) then Torres is a very good chance.

If Torres some how scores more goals thean Ronaldo by the end of the season, and we win the Champions League, then he will get it.

Can't stand Ronaldo. I'd only take that diving b@stard to our team if he a) got a skinhead; b) called Fergie a w@nker; and c) stopped rolling around on the ground like a fag after someone touches him and stopped moaning to the ref for each time it happened. Not a Liverpool-esque kind of attitude that, and I'd personally hate to see one of our players act like that. Best player in the World? F*ck off! Class payers don't behave like that. It's even annoying that he's being compared to Best. In Best's days, you got kicked black and blue and got on with it.

However, for all my gripes, he's single-handedly kept United where they are now. I don't care what anyone says, if someone broke his ankle or something earlier in the season, United would be f*cked and that's a fact. Rooney and Tevez, for all their unjustified hype, are hardly setting the world alight.

Torres IS the best striker in the world today. Hands down. He's more of a pure finisher than Ronaldo is, plus if Torres hit our pens and could take free-kicks, I'd say you could easily add another 10 goals to his tally.

I agree, but i do think Ronaldo has matured a lot this season. He's definately single handedly kept united up there this season although their defense has been superb too.

I find it funny when my united fan mates turn around and say Liverpool would be nothing without Gerrard and Torres! They fail to see the irony in what they're saying even when explained to them, that's united fans for ya.

Even if he did all that I dont think he would get it. Ronaldo is higher profile.

I've never seen Torres take a free kick, but I suppose it is a good way to get rid of one of their players on the wall.  Like when he hit Clichy with a power kick in CL round 2  :D

It doesn't matter who wins the Champs League - Ronaldo should get it and
deserves it. There's no denying it.

As much as I hate the greasy haired fairy he deserves to get it. Torres has been awesome but it is his job to score goals, as a striker. Ronaldos main job is to create but he scores goals also and so, as much as I loathe to admit it, he does deserve it.

P.S. I know Torres can also create chances for others but the greasy fairies record is better !

Ronaldo is MEANT to create. Torres just DOES create cuz he can.

It's a very, very tough one.

Ronaldo will get it 100% even if Torres scores a hat trick in the CL final.

:nod , my sentiments exactly , if we do win the champions league , i feel Torres might get it , he's done so well in his first season and like some have said ronaldo has been here for a while .
