Well, I'm pro Rafa, but I've never been in the woodwork about it. Thing is, we played average and won 3-0. Sort of the kind of form we were in before this mad crisis took hold, but I seen no one complaining then. So long as we win, right?

I know mate , it was meant to be a joke at the expense of the posters who will come on and say were gonna win the league now , and that sort of thing. Lead fart methinks mate. :D

surely the fact that anyone could be satisfied with what we have just seen is an inditement of where we are as a club ?. it was dreadful lads absolutely dreadful.
shamrock rovers and liverpool are not a matter of life and death to me. they are much more important than that.

Considering our most recent blip or bliiiiiiiiiiiiiiiip id say so, no matter who we was facing today we needed a win. People were getting suicidal on here !

I can give several reasons why it was a good thing, and as many know I'm not a fan of Benitez.

1) kept a clean sheet, no matter who your opponents are, a clean sheet is always good

2) Crouch scored AGAIN, hopefully cementing his place as our 1st choice forward with Torres (also scored)

3) Aurellio came off at half time, hopefully Benitez finally realised that Aurellio isn't worth a place in the Liverpool set up

4) It gives us confidence going into the next game against Chelsea

5) Crouch and Torres in the 2nd half looked a great partnership.

6) Harry Kewell wasn't in the squad

7) It's stopped the rot of current results

8) We pulled away from Pompey, Blackburn and West Ham who all failed to win, as well as gainging points on City, Villa and Everton.

9) Maschernaho got Man of the Match, looking like it's 18 mill well spent (even if i still personally think it's a bit to much for him)

10) Skrtel got another 90 mins under his belt in English football

glad I could help  :p
1) You'll Never Walk Alone
2) pass and move is the Liverpool groove
3) FIRST WILL ALWAYS BE FIRST AND SECOND WILL ALWAYS BE NOTHING.
4) If Torres has scored 60 league goals for Liverpool by the start of the 2011/12 season, I'll say he's better than Owen.

It was a win the players and the supporters both needed Igor, could you imagine having to go to Chelsea if we had lost today? It was a poor game, but what can you expect after the run we have been on. I am delighted with the result and hopefully we can build on this and the performances will follow.

Certainly defeat today would have led to headlines in the papers, Rafa out campaigns and even more pressure on the players.

Hopefully now we have got back on track we can get a result at Chelsea and everything will start seeming a little brighter again.

Agreed on all points there mate.

The point i'm trying to make is this-

Did eveyone seriously expect we were going to play any differently than we did in the first half . The way we have been playing since christmas ,not bloody likely . The most important thing at the moment is trying to gain confidence and trying to get up for the next game . Hopefully rafa will keep the same team more or less for the chelsea game(not lucas on the left though ??? ) and try and step it up against them.

Well not to sound to pestimistic before the Chelsea game's build up has really started, but I'd be surprised if it's the same team.

more than likely Kuyt (god help us) will be back up front to play more as a 5th midfielder again because we're away from home to one of the top 3 sides and that's Benitez' tactic in these sort of matches. Also I'd be surprised if Pennant plays against Chelsea because again he's to attack minded for Benitez' liking. Carra at full back I don't see either, so Hyypia or Skrtel will miss out. Lucas won't play left wing, but saying that with Benitez being the stubborn git he is, he'll probably play Lucas out there every game from now on to prove he's right. And finally if Aurellio ever plays for us again, I will be hugely disappointed.

how sad is it to find that maunure fans showed more loyalty to their manager when he won fu.ck all in his first few years than you so called Liverpool fans are showing now to a man who has won plenty. And if you think its fair and right to judge Rafa by this season with all that's gone on owner wise your mad , and if you want to judge him for his results in the premier previously remember he finished above Weneger this so called tactical genius  in his second and third season here or did you forget that? your all nothing but FICKLE , GLORY hunting, PLASTIC SCOUSERS. Shame on you all-- and if you want to try ganging up on me or getting me red carded like you did to LANDO then go for it ,cos you don't deserve anymore of my time, I'm not even gonna read your predictable repetitive RAFA hating cr@p replies OK so go ahead do your worst--- some of you make me feel embarrassed to be a scouser
