Its not. Rafa has been here a while, the problems are deep rooted, many of our problems are of his own making through mistakes or neglect and he won't solve them overnight.

I must admit I would never have posted my similar thoughts without backing and now I feel I can.

Benitez has taken us as far as he can. I will be forever indebted to him for that but now is time to sign a manager with tactical nous and an ability to percieve what is needed to win the premiership.

I too believe Jose Mourinho is the best man for the job.

I've said a couple of times that Mourinho is the outstanding candidate should we decide to change the manager at the end of the season, and I think he is. Just so nobody thinkls I'm backtracking, even a Champions league win AND an FA Cup win wouldn't be enough at this stage to convince me that we should stick with the current mananger.

One thing I have been thinking about though. Should Mourinho not be a possibility (and there's every chance that'll be the case) who else would you go for? It's been a question asked of me a couple of times and you bung in names like Gus Hiddink, Frank Rjiikjard etc etc out of laziness really, just because you can't be bothered to think about it. If like me though you are of the opinion that we miss the trick sometimes by nearly always looking to buy overseas players and ignoring young players based in England, perhaps you could apply the same logic to the manager. Perhaps you could just pick a manger who has had some success within the confines of his situation, who seemingly has the credentials, the mentality and the potential to go all the way. You'd ideally want somebody who has won things as a player, who the big names in our team would instantly respect.

If we are prepared to consider the unthinkable in terms of personality and past actions with Mourinho, perhaps you could do the same with the young, English based manager. Maybe you just take a punt on a fella one day being at the very top of his profession. Maybe you could consider a manager who sat on the Sunderland bench today. He has impressed me greatly not just in the time he has been in the job, but in his last couple fo years at Man Utd and latterly Celtic. If you can put prejudice aside, it is my guess that one Keane will be a winner as a manager just like he was a winner as a player. I don't think for one minute that practically anybody will agree with me, but he is a far better shout than some which get a mention.

:D I've got a bit of a sneaker I'd be in a minority of one on this one Igor mate, no probs. Not sure I could get me heard round it myself either TBH, but I do stand by the prediction that he'll be a fantastic manager.

My problem is I like Rafa the person but sometimes as a manger he frustrates me to death, I dont know him as a person but I know that his heart has always been at Liverpool since he came here and his wife and kids.

And that bit hurts me to critise him he stays up all night watching videos of Shankly, Paisley he knows our history inside out, when new players come he gives them a history lesson about the club.

Rafa could win everything for us and be here for years if he sticks to a settled side in the league with better players and plays our game, not what others are going to do, what we are going to do instead of making things so complicated like a rubixcube just pass & move and score goals and put the fear of life into teams.

Him and his wife do a lot for the Lilly centre on Vauxhaul road his wife is the chairman they do a lot for cancer patients my mum was there a few weeks ago Rafa & Montse where there, this is why I know his heart is here, and Monste said if he wants to go to Real Madrid fine he can go but I am staying here.

Rafa please do the right thing mate stick to a settled side because it hurts me to critise you.

Thats all.

Well, I'm pro Rafa, but I've never been in the woodwork about it. Thing is, we played average and won 3-0. Sort of the kind of form we were in before this mad crisis took hold, but I seen no one complaining then. So long as we win, right?
