If that's on the table, it's an absolute no-brainer. For a player who's never been playing worse since arriving, you won't get any better.

£11 million for Sissoko is damn fine business in my eyes. It may just pay the bulk of the fee for Mascherano as we will then need another CM if Momo does go and it may just strengthen Rafa's hand in that argument.

i hope we bite their hand off at that offer!

the man who has a first touch so bad, he second touch is a header and or a slide tackle......he annoys me!

11 million for Sissoko would be good business given the fact he never plays. I know I've said this many times though, but he is MUCH MUCH better than many on here give him credit for in my opinion. The last time Ranieri paid that sort of money for a midfield player it was a fat bloke bloke from West Ham and most people (me included) thought he paid way over the odds for him too. Despite the fact I can't stand the said fat bloke, he's a bit of bargain at the price as it turns out. He's no mug ain't Ranieri, and neither is Sissoko either.

I completely agree mate.

Sissoko will turn out to be a GREAT player, but at the moment Liverpool have fair better established midfielders who deservedly so play more often than Sissoko. Give it 3/4 years Sissoko will be a great player, but at the moment Liverpool don't have 3/4 years to wait for him to mature into a great player and Masch is much much better.

I think everything will be smoothed over at Anfield before the end of the month..

Sissoko will for £11m and we'll use that £££ to secure Mascha
Skrtel will sign and prove too be a very good long term buy
Agger will return before the end of the month
Rafa has 1 more mystery up his sleeve in the transfer market - Wide player!
New stadium plans will be rubber stamped

All will be fine by the end of the month. Watch this space :;):

I have just heard that Rafa is to be offered a vote of confidence by H&G and that the re-finance and stadium have been given the go ahead. I must admit this has come from a very dubious source (my son) so I would take it with a pinch of salt. Announcement and statement to be made on Parry's return.

No idea mate, to be honest I would be very surprised if this rumour is true, seems too quick for me.

Mohamed Sissoko is keen for Juventus to agree a deal with Liverpool as the midfielder 'wants a new challenge'.

Juventus coach Claudio Ranieri has admitted his admiration for Sissoko after working with the Malian at Valencia.

The 22-year-old has been a long-term target for Juventus and has grown frustrated due to his lack of first-team football this season.

He has started just six games in the Premier League and admits he is willing to move to Serie A, if the two clubs reach an agreement.

"It isn't done yet, but my agent is in advanced discussions with the club," Sissoko told French radio station RMC.

"I hope they will reach an agreement, but I'm very happy a club like that wants me to come.

"I want a new challenge. The last few months at Liverpool haven't gone as I would have wished.

"But that's football, and now I want to move on to a new stage of my life and flourish on the pitch

According to the BBC, Chelsea will get Anelka before this weekend.  We lost out there.

Sky earlier today were reporting that Sissoko is to go on loan to Juve, permanent move (if all's well) in the summer. ???

Rafa obviously not interested.  :(  Sure he could have done a player + cash deal for Anelka if he had a mind to.

I actually don't blame him Woof TBPH. I'm not saying Anelka isn't a good player because he is, but at 13 million or whatever he is going to represent a big gamble at his age and even more so with his temprement. His tendency to throw the toys out of the pram if he doesn't play or whatever wouldn't appear to make him the ideal Rafa signing.

The time to take a punt on him was a couple of years back as hindsight would indicate, 6 million and only 26 with his ability represented little or no risk as it turned out. I must confess though i am talking 100% with hindsight there.
