Rafa criticism just has to stop - Tony Barrett

Ola Mr Benitez wrote:Stats can be made to mean pretty much anything you want.

For example where he says "In the 2006/07 season, Sir Alex Ferguson used a total of 23 players en route to the title. At Anfield, Benitez used six more.

Significantly, five of those selected by Benitez only featured in Liverpool's last three games of the season when the focus had shifted from domestic to continental pursuits with key first team players making way for youngsters as the Champions League final loomed"

What it does not say is how these extra players where used.  Did Fergusson use 23 different players but never changed more than 2 between 2 games or did he make 4 or 5 changes to his team.

I believe rotatation is the right way, but it has to be the right rotation..

My thoughts exactly. How often did Ferguson "rotate" an apparently fit and on form player out of premiership game ?.

Why do people say "Rafa cannot be criticised" when he's fúcking criticised day in, day out since I can remember?

In fact, when some people criticise gerrard there's much more reaction that when Rafa is criticised. I don't think Rafa is untouchable, and the proof of it is that he's criticised everyday here, and even some of them ask their head!

So I don't see where that victimism of "Rafa cannot be criticised" comes from, because in this boards, in the press, in the tv, we can see all kind stick to Rafa.

Of course when he wins the FA or reaches a final, the "pundits" shut up because it seems ridiculous. But if he loses the CL final -which not many english clubs reach every year, yanno- then, stick again.

RAFA CAN be criticised, and RAFA IS criticised. In fact, SOME PEOPLE ASK FOR RAFA'S HEAD IN OCTOBER. And the ones that defend him are happy clappers, if not foreign biased cúnts.

Rather, I'd say "Rafa cannot be defended". It's more accurate to reality.

How often did ferguson rest a fit Ronaldo, scholes, giggs,Van Nisttleroy (when he was there)? very little, the guys doing the job played. poor players like fletcher and O'shea came in and out but the top players nearly always played.

Rafa "rests" Torres twice at the very start of the season.

Nonsense.

As for stats claiming winning the FA  cup is back up for a successful period, even Souness won that.

We have spent way more than ARsenal, play unattractive football in comparison and look much less likely to win the league.

despite still finishing comfortably above them for the past two seasons. ???

i wish everyone would get over this media w@nkfest over arsenal at the moment. they've hardly played anyone yet apart from an out of sorts spurs (when they could easily of lost). as soon as they get a couple of injuries they'll be f#cked, as they will be in january when they lose players to the african nations cup.

and we have played........ oh yeah chelsea out of the top teams, and that 'out of sorts' spurs nearly handed us our a*ses on a plate.

i love it when people try and justify something without even thinking about it first    :D

Rotation doesn't ar$e me - every manager does it tosome extent now. Pi$$ing about during games does though such as Saturday with Kuyt and Yossi - making 3 changes in positions for one sub.

I still think Rafa over analyses the opposition in the Prem. Europe this is 100% the right tactic however in England most of the other teams are sh#t so why we spend time tinkering with players during games to nullify opponents baffles me.

You're avin a laugh lad... 8 :censored: games. Theres 30 left.

:censored: 30. If they're still there after them then come back with that arguement. Until then its :censored:. Theres millions of things you can say but to say that about Arsenal is just rubbish.

If you don't like criticism, shut your eyes, cover your ears and sing "la la la, I'm not listening".

Everyone is open to criticism, Rafa would only be immune to criticism if he was top of the league and had won all eight games. Criticism is based on failings, several of Rafa's continually come to light and when you're not doing as well as you could be then you must expect people to air their views. I'm sure most of us would do a worse job, maybe one of us could do a better job - who knows. However until everything is rosy there will be concerns expressed, not necessarily calls for Rafa's head, but certainly being unbeaten yet six points behind is just cause for concern. It may not be beyond retrieval but we might equally fall further behind given four draws already in the league.

i love it when you miss the point stu, read the posts, then allow yourself a minute for it to sink in, then write a response    :D

If you go out and not worry about the opposition and make no plans for there players they'll rip you to shreds. We're talking about professional players here. Not average sunday league players.

These players are well drilled, and if you have a well drilled team, you can over come alot of things, including immense talent.

???  2006-2007 we finished comfortably above them  ?   ???  . And the was me thinking we were equal on points . Maybe your referring to the comfortable goal difference (2) that placed us above them.

Why do I get a picture of Stu nodding his head and smiling to himself while reading this.  :D
