I really cant believe what i'm reading on this forum & some LFC forums.
Fickle fans saying that Rafa must go.
Are they on this planet or what?
They are entitled to their view of course.
But do they not realize what he has won for us in the past 3 years?
Do they not realize that Alex Ferguson didnt start winning trophies properley till 6 years after he joined Man Utd.
Goodness knows how much Rafa will win for Liverpool FC if he is given the same amount of time?
Its absolutely pathetic & non-sensical to call for Rafa to leave.
Who would he be replaced with anyway exactly?
The man has been & will be a trophy winning manager for Liverpool FC & these so called fans will regret what they've said, the day he ever does go from LFC

Rafa is god. He can make no mistakes. We have 25 world class players. We are better than United, Chelsea and Arsenal all over the park.

We never make a mistake, Rafa's never made any bad signings. Rafa's a god.

In Rafa I trust.

But he won the CL without Ashton mate, and reached another final without Anelka

Seriously, of course he makes mistakes, who doesn't?

Somebody wants Capello here? or Lippi? Mourinho perhaps? who can bring greater glories to this club? Coleman? he doesn't like rotations he said today in a press conference. Toshack perhaps? he doesn't like rotations neither -- nor goalie specific training nor specifical physical work, he wants to control everything.

Nobody is saying Rafa doesn't make mistakes. In my country, there is not a better coach. In other countries, I don't know, but if there is, somebody should point out who that man might be?

I just wanted to post that in case someone went on about how Benitez is too arrogant to admit that he's made mistakes.

Or that he's become like Houllier and is putting the blame elsewhere and not on himself.

Rafa hasn’t admitted he’s made mistakes, Rafa has said he takes responsibility for mediocre performances and mediocre results.

I don’t believe it is in factual to state that Benitez is too stubborn. Rafa is still using mass rotation despite having better results when there has been some form of continuity in his team selections.

Thats the thing Sabre. Rafael Benitez is for me the best coach/head coach in europe by an absoloute mile.

He's nowhere near the best manager though and his mistakes, consistent failiure in the league, bad signings, strange team selections and ability to make our best player feel unwanted back that up.

Good Post Mate but the main concern I'm feeling is that the next few games are going to be a little different to the last few (Spurs excepted).

The fixtures couldn't have been kinder to us this season and it was the best chance we've had in the Prem to build up a good run and generate a winning attitude in the side. The elation everyone felt after Derby was obvious but stupid, they were a very very poor team who have no place in The Prem. The Chelsea game should have been put away before the travesty of justice. The Villa game was won with another Stevie G flash of brilliance. We have not shown a great performance yet this season but just when the confidence was on the up rotation reared its ugly head and it was start all over again.

We've got a few difficult games coming up now and it is not the results I'm going to be worried over but the type of performance we give. Our best performance of the season so far was against Chelsea but it was at a time when they were self destructing. I'm dreading the Gunners game that's coming up while we still don't have a settled side.

Hope everyone's got LFC TV now look in at 7pm on thursday for the Mancs V LFC reserves. Should be interesting. We cannot rely on buying players, no matter how expensive, judging by recent results.

If we are top of the league come April then I'll be there, as ever, made-up. I won't be apologising for the doubts I'm feeling now because I know in my heart of hearts that we are on a misguided path. As with many of our recent successes I feel it will be more by luck than good judgement.
The effectiveness of the rotation system is debatable. Where does this system protect the star players who pick up injuries on the training pitch ? Look at who we are missing and where the injuries were picked up. I am still trying to resolve the puzzle of the brilliant football we saw from Valencia and the levels we are showing now.

BY the way i never wrote it some fella said it in todays daily post but i think it summs it up

If we are to win the League (or get out of the Champions League group stages) then we should be boosting the confidence of the team and staff and not calling for heads to roll. Short-termism is the modern way, but we should stick to the traditional values of our club.

Why are you posting Rafa’s achievements? Members of this forum know Rafa’s achievements however past achievements do not immune Rafa from criticism. Rafa is human like you or me, we make mistakes, and so what makes Rafa different from us?

Post as much statistics as you want, but some fans are not wrong for feeling an air of discontent with Rafa’s methods.

Is it not a coincidence that with 67 changes in 12 games there is little continuity in the team, consistency in performances and results? Rafa has made mistakes in the past and will make mistakes in the future. The test for Rafa is whether he corrects such mistakes or allows the repetition of these mistakes to continue.

If Rafa can correct his mistakes and acknowledges that he has made mistakes instead of being stubborn than that’s half the battle for the Premiership won IMO.
