pepe was right to say what he said, and we are still to cencede a goal in open play this season (touch wood)

i dont see how someone criticising rafas tactics can be an internet fight, however your comment is obviously aimed at starting one

:censored:. 2 points lost. Fair enough the internationals didnt help but we still could have used Gerrard, Torres and Babel from the start and subbed them at half time if needed.

As expected.

Torres should had started from the start and perhaps Gerrard should had as well.

We were lucky not to lose this match after the woeful 2nd half performance.

Andy Gray "I was brought up in a world of . . ."

"I wonder what Liverpool fans will think if they dont get hte goal that they desperatey need"

What is this joker on about ?

Andy mate, you where brought up in a time when footballers earned £1000 a week tops and had a pair of boots that lasted the full season.

And how on earth where we desperate for a goal ? It was not a cup game, so a draw is at least not a defeat.

I will predict that only one team will go to Portsmouth whilst the league still means something and win.

Thanx Rafa again resting our best players 4 games in.
Could find ourselves 3rd after today.

I have been stuck at work so am relying on text commentary and you guys but 0-0 isn't a disasterous result. Away at Fratton Park is tough no matter who you are and they had a penalty too so all in all I'll take it.
I know there is going to be a lot of criticism fired at Rafa over his team selection but I think he was on a lose-lose situation. His two best players both carrying injuries, playing a team mid table team on a bad run of form and with Europe coming up on tuesday....the fact is you cannot play your best 11 EVERY game, you just can't. So he decided to let his best two players rest their knocks knowing he could bring em on if needed.....he did need to and it didn't quite pay off.
Some on here will say that the league is the priority now especially with such a good start to consolidate and that the likes of Crouch and Benayoun should be reserved for Europe but the fact is the champions league is a massive money spinner and qualifying for the latter stages is extremely important for the club.
I might get panned for this and maybe I am wrong but I think Rafa's job is tough enough without us panning him for it....he does what he feels is best and sometimes it just doesn't quite come off. To be fair we hit the woodwork and could have nicked it 1-0...who would have complained then?
L - I - V.....E - R - P.......Double O - L....Liverpool F C!!!!!
