but in all seriousness you do seem to like digs hoping to start something

I think it was Le Stinger who was trying to pick a fight mate, not me.

Resting players who are not 100% fit and carrying injuries against sub standard opposition ahead of a Champions League game in three days is not THAt unbelievable really.

No offence mate, but what do you do as a job ?

Seriously, Rafa Benitez is an excellent manager and knows this league, his players and fitness and coaching better than only one or two people in the league, so I think he knows what he is doing and whats best for the team.

1. We are first due to goal difference and with a game in hand. Season is not over you miserable gits.

2. Rotation is automatically at fault when we don't win, but when we win it's hailed as a brilliant move and our strength in depth is praised.

Get a f#cking grip the lot of you. Man Utd couldn't beat Pompey with a full strength side at Upton Park this season or last season.

Arsenal couldn't do it either, and only Chelsea have beaten them there in recent years out of the top four.

2pts pi.ssed away today. You rest your best players in games like our next home game against shi.te like Birmingham not games that you know will be tough like Pompey away.

How many top four sides have come to Upton park in the last three seasons and won? Full strength or not?

Answer on a postcard mate.

Who where they? Torres, Babel and Gerrard where all fit.
Gerrard and Torres our best players dont even start the game because of the game in Porto midweek.

Why not play Kuyt? He didn't even play for Holland in international, really :censored: @ rafa today, should of used Torres, babel and gerrard earlier, Pennat should of stayed on, Vornin and crocuh do not work together...

really cut, also that manu won, and they are equal on points not, but we have a game in hand, but still very bad.

a draw is dissapointing, but not the end of the world, or the league

our players needed to be rested for mid week, fair there, however, we did not need to rest so many of our attacking players

Alarm bells wrang when the team selection was seen. This should have been a comortable win. Don't care what anyone says, this is down to one man, and one man only: Rafa. He's tinkering about too much again. No dissrespect to the Champions League, but f*ck it! Rafa got it back-to-front. A draw a Porto would have been satisfactory and acceptable with the team he put out today. He should have fielded a full strength team, regardless of mid-week international duty. Three points and the league were a priority here! I'm fuming.

Anytime we start with Crouch, our gameplan changes. Our widemen seem to become strangely ineffective, as you'd think Crouch would be there for square balls to be whipped in from wide areas near the bi-line. This never seems to happen. Instead we get long balls knocked from deep in our own half narrow down the centre in the hope that he (Crouch) can get on it and flick it on. What I don't understand is, if this is the style of play Rafa wanted, then surely it would make more sense to have a quick lone striker ahead of Crouch that can get on the end of anything loose that Crouch may create.

Today Pennant and Benayoun were non-entities. Nothing came from the wide area's, and I never once seen Pennant get the ball in a advanced possition out the wing and get into the area. Rafa made the wrong choices. Our wide players just didn't deliver.

Anyway, on a possitive note, I thought Alonso had a good game. Solid and was seemed to be our one and only spark to create something from deep. Reina was MOTM for one reason only. We could have been looking at this game as a defeat if not for him. Some people may view this as two points lost. I see it as a point gained because of Reina's heroics.

Obviously the two points dropped was going to feel like a defeat after the high's of the past week, so in that respect it's very disppointing. My only real concern is that Rafa made some very strange choices. Pompey were there to be slayed, obviously Rafa didn't see it that way.
