one thing i would say is that it looks a bit like an american football ground. but looks great.

WHen I saw those open corners it reminded me a little bit like

but that is the only American football stadium that does that. all of our stadiums are bowls, I never knew what seperate stands meant till I started following fottie.

thats just what i had in mind, dont get me wrong they are great grounds.

As a designer I think it looks pretty horrific from the images so far. Im sure more will be released and that plans are at an early stage so may be altered before construction but so far im not keen at all. Its a total monster.

What impresses me is the consideration of acoustics which should ensure a Kop that we can enjoy and of course the ability to increase the capicity. Fair dues to Gillette & Hicks for having the ambition to reconsider the design and for delivering a larger stadium with a throw-back to the Kop.

Well first of all they would order us to stop work. If we ignored that they may order us to demolish it. If we ignore that they will demolish it and charge us for the work.

I love the way they've kept elements of the interior shape from the old ground and just expanded the design, although it might look a lot different if the corners are filled in and there are seats all the way around the ground.

The outside looks a bit dodgy though ??? :p

Manhattan is very impressed.

It looks amazing. Like nothing else Manhattan has ever seen.

Can't wait for the official aerial and night pictures.

I would like to see the stadium when lit up at night.

I dont know if I like it or not.

Is it just me or does anyone else think that there is still a lack of information about the new stadium.  I was expecting more than what we have seen today.

Was anyone else?

I imagine they'll reveal more pictures soon.

I just hope the local council allow them to keep the glass and metallic exterior.

It would be a shame if it became grey concrete.

Totally unique, totally Liverpool. I imagine the design was rushed considering how much time has elapsed since the original stadium was discussed, so this is a rought draft at best, I look at the picture from inside the stadium, done up with screens (and a bloody clock mind you) and all the ad boards and technical areas etc, what a bloody masterpiece, tell me you won't walk into that beast and see the kop and not :censored: yr pants if yr a another club.

hate to point this out but where the fk is the players tunnel?

The players will beam onto the pitch, Star Trek style!

Credit should be given to LFC and Pompey, who both went for stadium designs that were unique.

Wembley, the Emirates, the Riverside, the Reebok, the COMS etc...

All concrete basins.

The new stadium design has struck a perfect chord with me, I love the design. This design is an artistic masterpiece of the architectural kind. It suits modern society and the modern artistic world down to the ground.

As echoed before, I look forward to a potential virtual tour around the ‘proposed’ new stadium.

This is architectural genius and the team of people who designed this stadium are worth their weight in gold.

It’s illegal for an institute of any domain to design and construct a facility larger than the planning permission states. The local council can start a legal hearing with Liverpool Football Club.

The problem with building a stadium as large as a 70,000 seater is the potential travel issues which could arise out of a lack of infrastructure to support such mass travel in a closed environment.

There is a potential problem to the Environment. Stanley Park is a recreational ground; a large sports complex cited on the grounds of the park will no doubt have negative repercussions on the local environment.

If Liverpool FC can work alongside the local council to ensure the local environment is not damaged substantially by a large complex and if Liverpool FC and the local council work together to improve local transport infrastructure than this will help create a larger and safer sporting complex.

It'll be cool when construction begins.

Because it's so close to the current stadium, whenever Sky feature LFC in a live game, they will definitely pan over to see the monster rising in Stanley Park.

This is the kind of stadium that will look awesome and intimidating even while it's being built.

Great news for everybody connected with Liverpool Football Club, from Tom and George right down to the tea-boy. It'll be a little upsetting to leave Anfield of course but we have to move with the times. Watched it unfold live on Sky Sports News. It looks great and like everybody has been saying, it's very different to other new stadiums around the world. Gerrard has told sky sports that he hopes to lead Liverpool out in the new stadium. I think because this is finally off the owner's mind, we can solely concentrate on footballing matters now and this is just another great incentive to us winning the league this year.
1) You'll Never Walk Alone
2) pass and move is the Liverpool groove
3) FIRST WILL ALWAYS BE FIRST AND SECOND WILL ALWAYS BE NOTHING.
4) If Torres has scored 60 league goals for Liverpool by the start of the 2011/12 season, I'll say he's better than Owen.
