On the right of the pic, is that a TV screen?

Live, big screen relays of games for those outside the stadium, maybe?    :oh:

Would be fantastic if it is. Can you imagine the atmosphere with noise coming from both inside and outside the stadium?  :)

Rick parry says " The design is very futuristic"...he is dead right there!....i wonder howv long it will take to get to the moon in that ship?...on a serious note i was expecting something more appealing and easier on the eye than what has been unveiled today...if its going to get the fans approval then they will have to fill those corners in all around the ground...and a players tunnel is a must in the middle...not in the corner...like manure, be interested to see a fans poll on giving it "the thumbs up"?.....or not?. ???

would they get permission from the police though for 60,000 fans inside and as many again outside watching the big screen? I doubt they would wany all them fans in the one place.

There'd be a strong argument to say that it'd be a good move, so long as the crowd outside could be reasonably well contained. If there's somewhere for non-ticket holders to watch right by the stadium, jibbing and jumping the turnstiles could become a thing of the past almost immediately.

If it is a TV screen then it wont be for the fans to watch replays or highlights on...it will be for general information eg, tickets, advertisements, etc, there is no-way LFC will allow "free viewing" of live games.

Love it- and i'm sure it'll be toned down slightly in real life! If not- i'll still love it as it's unique and the Kop looks amazing- imagine the banners going up and down that on a european night.

I went to Wembley recently and although it looked nice it didn't really have any character as it was just a big bowl- ours will have loads of character and players will be queuing up to sign for us just so they can play there every week.

I love the idea that they are going back to asymmetrical stadium design. The Kop end looks phenomenal.

I have a feeling we'll be hearing from some jealous manc's rather shortly...

I've had a few looks now at the pictures of the new ground and have spent the last couple of hours trying to gather my thoughts about it.

I'm sure I'm not alone in feeling that Anfield will be sadly missed but I have to say, if LFC have to move ground then this is exactly the stadium we should be moving too.

The Emirates, the Riverside, Sunderland's Stadium of Light all look like clones. There is nothing original there.

This is original, it's groundbreaking. It will stand Liverpool Football Club head and shoulders above other clubs which is where we should be and where we always have been.

It will draw in supporters and fans from across the world and I believe will attract players of the quality Liverpool need to maintain their position as one of the finest clubs in Europe.

The Kop stand looks awesome. The noise from 18000 fans being directed onto the new pitch will lift the players and unnerve the opposition.

Times are changing in football. Billionaire owners, new stadium, players from all four corners of the globe earning vast sums of money. Liverpool have to accept these changes and embrace them or fall behind.

I believe our new owners have embraced these changes. This stadium shows Liverpool are not merely following other clubs, they are leading other clubs.

Momentous changes are happening at our beloved club and I for one think the future is rosy RED!!

Have to have the highest security around it being built and as the building process begins them b@stard blueshite scallies will do everything in their power for this stadium not to be built.
Bet your bottom dollar it will be sabotaged every friggen day even when its finished.
There is no-one anywhere in the world at any stage who is any bigger or any better than this football club.

I dont know if anyone has touched on the fact that Liverpool are hoping the stadium will be near 80,000 when it opens.

I was under the impression that it will open with 60,000 and over the next 10 years grow to 80,000 but according to Parry they are hoping it will open with a larger capacity then i originally thought.
