The guy is not even a fan! What fan would originally be for a ground share with :censored: Everton? For all we know this deal will bankrupt him for the third time. I cannot believe Moores has all of a sudden stalled because of Gillette coming in. I mean honestly, what could Gillette offer than DIC could not? His wealth is probably not even 5% DIC's. Yea, we'll have a stadium built (probably cut some corners), but what about sufficient transfer funds that DIC could undoubtably supply for the next millenium. In my opinion Moores completely misread the situation. He assumed DIC would never pull the plug, considering they spent months going over the books. Now we have a yank who has a history of bankruptcy and who has never been successful with the franchises that he now or has owned. I honestly I don't think he's in it for the long run. He's in it to make a profit. With TV rights to skyrocket in the next few years, who wouldn't want to make a quick buck(pun).  Bottom line, Moores should have taken DIC up on their offer and not :censored: around like a complete moron. He completely disrespected DIC and a great offer. I honestly don't see how we could be any better off. Not in the slightest. :censored:!

Isnt it wonderful when fans start telling the chairman what to do? For g@ds sake grow up and get real. Business is business, the arabs wanted the best deal and the shareholders werent going to agree.

We dont even know the terms of the offer and people are slagging off Moores! Get a life!

Get the facts then consider an opinion, until then, just accept there must have been a good reason for the shareholders to turn the deal down.

Er money by all acounts.

All I said is that it's stupid to have a protest. As Bab Bob said, what exactly are you going to protest about?

I proved you wrong mate because you questioned my support of the club and called me a day tripper. I then proved you wrong by stating where I sit.

you're right, we'll see. But I personally feel it's more important to get behind the team on derby day than to slag off the board. surely you must agree with that?

What would you put on your banner to show the board on Saturday?  With the number of half-baked ideas I've read on here tonight, your banner would need to cover the entire Kop to get all  the gripes in.

FFS, call it a night.  Let things shake out and let the club release a proper statement and then, maybe, you lot could make an informed evaluation of what's happened rather than jumping to a million conclusions.  Unbelievable!  :no

Some people actually care and want our club to move forward. Gillett cannot be that great of a businessman if he needs loans to pay for us and has been bankcrupt once.

Why are some people on here so blind to the facts...its obvious moores and co saw an opportunity to make a killing by upping the "ante" and inviting that yank to make a bid that would value the club above what the DIC valued it at, the reason is simple...greed and more money for his shares otherwise this deal would have been completed ages ago i wonder how he will dig himself out of this one...no doubt with the extra £8 million he will get for it.  ???

FFS, Oasis, it does not show a lack of passion for the club to suggest that taking a breath and waiting to hear what's actually transpired is what's needed here.

I'm as disappointed as anyone that the DIC investment, which looked absolutely nailed on, has fallen through.  Unlike many, though, it seems I have enough faith in the collective sanity of the Board to wait and hear their side of it.

Is this really such a crazy stance to take?  ???

No it's not, but that's your take on things, other fans should be allowed to express themselves in whatever manner they wish, providing they do not go crazy. Moores thought he'd be clever and mess DIC around (it would seem) and they pulled out, for which I do not blame them. I do not want an American, who has been bankcrupt once and borrows money to buy our club. It's a disgrace, DIC had their own money and were fans, so I must thank Moores for being what would seem far too stubborn.

Hey it's just my opinion but I don't think it is really about DIC wanting the best deal. They offered a great deal. It comes down to what the best deal for LFC is. As I stated, DIC are by far more financially secure and life long Liverpool supporters! Gillett has been bankrupt twice and is clearly not a supporter (groundshare). Also, where does it say that the shareholders were not going to agree? They may have stalled for time but it is not like they told DIC to improve the offer. Yes, Gillett offer is better for the shareholders but not for the club. Finally, I will slag off Moores because the best offer for Liverpool is now gone and that is something he did not anticipate.

Yes it is in view of the fact that this board has been dragging its heels for a while now, we missed the greatest opportunity this club will ever have after winning the CL where was moores when we needed to promote the club worldwide? the revenue he could have made on franchise? and merchandise?...very short sighted on that one was he not?..moores has had his day and failed to deliver (unless he delivers us into the hands of that damn yank) it could be the legacy that will haunt him..its time for him to move over and give the club to someone who really does have L.FC. at heart. :nod

Fowler did nothing after we got £11m for him, thats an unbeleivable piece of business (not entirely Morres' doing though)

What I can read into that, is that was Ridsdale's stupity of throwing money away they never had.

But never the less,  Moores will only do right by the club. And if DIC have pulled out, its them who lack the motivation, possibly finance and the desire to settle this IMO.

Vital words right there.  Given that we are all operating on about 2% of the necessary information required to develop a credible, informed opinion on this matter it would seem that this thread is dredging new depths of sh!te talk.

I agree with you Oasis, and as for the Arabs having no balls for the fight, it sometimes takes more balls to stand up for your principles and walk away than to get in a bidding war.

Rafa wont pay over the odds and gets praised, yet DIC get called for having some principles.
