It takes a lot of time to go over the finances of a club, especially if one were to invest for the long term. Gillette's offer is way too sketchy. Why all of sudden has he made an offer. The guy is not even a fan! What fan would originally be for a ground share withEverton? For all we know this deal will bankrupt him for the third time. I cannot believe Moores has all of a sudden stalled because of Gillette coming in. I mean honestly, what could Gillette offer than DIC could not? His wealth is probably not even 5% DIC's. Yea, we'll have a stadium built (probably cut some corners), but what about sufficient transfer funds that DIC could undoubtably supply for the next millenium. In my opinion Moores completely misread the situation. He assumed DIC would never pull the plug, considering they spent months going over the books. Now we have a yank who has a history of bankruptcy and who has never been successful with the franchises that he now or has owned. I honestly I don't think he's in it for the long run. He's in it to make a profit. With TV rights to skyrocket in the next few years, who wouldn't want to make a quick buck(pun). Bottom line, Moores should have taken DIC up on their offer and not
around like a complete moron. He completely disrespected DIC and a great offer. I honestly don't see how we could be any better off. Not in the slightest.
!
Isnt it wonderful when fans start telling the chairman what to do? For g@ds sake grow up and get real. Business is business, the arabs wanted the best deal and the shareholders werent going to agree.
We dont even know the terms of the offer and people are slagging off Moores! Get a life!
Get the facts then consider an opinion, until then, just accept there must have been a good reason for the shareholders to turn the deal down.
Er money by all acounts.
