LIVERPOOL VS ARSENAL - FA CUP DEFENCE OVER!!!

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

I think we played hard but just couldn't capitalize on our chances. Also, couple of defensive mistakes that cost us the game. Gerrard didn't play well and Arsenal defence was very solid. But I prefer to play Dudek in the Carling cup than the FA cup. I'm not saying Dudek was at fault here but he went too far out on the first goal. You can't blame him for the other two goal. I also think we are missing width on the left side with Garcia there. Garcia would be a perfect sub for today's game. I'm sure we will have better result on Tuesday and just want to wait and see the lineup he will put on the pitch.

Excatly. Instead we have a 6ft 7 beanpole baller- :censored:-rina who can thead the ball. I feel sorry for Kuyt, he was busting his :censored: as ussualy.

The only good thing i saw (or should I say heard) from todays game was that DICs talks are supposedly at an advanced stage.

I want us to seriously spank the living hell out of Arsenal on Tuesday. I don't care what it takes, I want a trashing.

It's not just that we lost or the fact that it was in the 3rd round of the competition we won last year, but we lost AT ANFIELD. The fans didn't deserve it, they were MAGNIFICENT today.

kuyt was a insparation in todays game and set a superb example of what a liverpool player should play like! to many players out there today did not give there all! if you play for liverpool fc it has to be 110% effort everygame whether against arsenal or halifax.

the one thing that was impressive was the kop in the opening 6 minutes! i would just like to give my respect for a excelaint dedication to the 96.

Yes of course i amost forgot to mention that. Very impressive indeed. Although is there any realistic thing the BBC are likely to do regarding the matter?

Never the less it was a great show of respect from the fans.

Least we kept them under pressure by getting a goal, in the 2nd half i swear nearly all the 45 mins was played in their half! and we still couldnt get an equalizer
I think we played okay imo :)

I know you've just got beaten, but win, lose or draw people should be able to make observations without being abused.

Liverpool dominated pretty much all the game, but had some slack defending.

We will win on tuesday as Arsenal will rest many players and I cant see Rafa putting out a weak side.

Crouch does score some great goals but too many times his ineffective in games.  His contribution is minimal and we dont look a threat up front at all when his playing.  When all strikers are fit it has to be Bellamy and Kuyt.  If any team is crazy enough to pay £10 mil for crouch then we should cash in.

Pathetic result. How we conceded 3 goals I will never understand.

Crouch, Riise and Dudek were poor. Kuyt was brilliant - if only we had a few more with his work ethic.

I mean seriously, what the hell did Arsenal do in 94 minutes apart from their goals? (2 of which were very unlucky from our viewpoint)

I'm mystified and not looking forward to school on Monday.
