LIVERPOOL VS ARSENAL - FA CUP DEFENCE OVER!!!

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

I think Gontalez is a must at the moment, its Eboue that has made all you need is someone to threaten with a bit of pace and I think he will poop himself.

Saying that, I dont see Rafa taking him off.

nothing dudek could do about either goal, the first he like evryone else was expecting the cross and even then it brushed his fingertips, the second he had 5 players who should of got a tackle in and rosicky hit it early between stevie and finane. no one can say pepe would of saved either of them...looks like the scapegoat for IF we lose has already been found. how fickle

Disagree, mate.  He couldn't do a dam.n thing about the first (although Pepe might have got a finger to it with his springs) but the second one he should have got to, IMO.  Doesn't take away from the fact that no one closed Rosicky down in either case and Riise gave Hleb all the time and space he needed to pick his pass for the first.

Steve Bennett's having a bit of a mare too.  That was never a yellow for Alonso and the blatant elbow that Toure laid on Kuyt was missed completely.

I disagree with those calling for Crouch to come off.  He's posing Senderos some problems and might just force a second yellow out of him.  If we could do better getting the ball into the box we've got the players out there to hurt them.

The two mistakes aside, we were the better team in the first half and need that to continue in the second, with more incisive build up play and some timely finishing.

If ever there was a time for a comeback, this is it.  Come on lads, dig deep!

From the reverse angle on the 2nd goal, I'm not convinced there wasn't a slight deflection.

Tons of possession, but nothing on target yet, which is disappointing. Nothing's happened from out wide for us, which needs to change or Bellamy just has to come on for us to have any chance.

Unlucky with the penalty decision, but we got punished for slack defensive play. We got suckered at left back in the build up to the first, and quite how Rosicky was allowed to get ANY shot away for the second I have no idea.

Its a shame really as we wernt playing badly but when your keeper lets those sorts of goals creep past you what confidnece does that inspire.
