Possible buyout? - Just heard on the radio

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

As far as i am concerned this is the best thing that could of happened to Liverpool. Unfortunatly if you want to compete for the title you need money, its just the way things are in this day and age.
I do not blame David Moores for selling out, he has invested alot of his own money into the club and as his parting gift, I am sure he has sold the club to people who only have Liverpools main interests at heart. T
Thanks for all you have done Mr Moores.  :bowdown
From Shankly to Brendan we follow our team, Rome to Istanbul we've all lived the dream. Our journey is long, our goal stays the same, to keep for our children the famous red name.

I liked the part where they say this guy is wealthier than Abramovich. :D

I cant see Chelskum dominating for much longer.

"even the Russian looks like a pauper when stood alongside the UAE royal family, who are ultimately the power behind Dubai International.

In a Harry Enfield voice of the wealthy Brummies.
I could not help but notice that we are considerably richer than yow  :D

Indeed. I bet Moreen will be under even more preassure now.

If they are indeed as rich as we are hearing them to be id expect Rafa to be ruthless in his summer clear out.
My new blog for my upcoming holiday.

I'm usually much more reserved, but this fart goes around insulting everyone, he contributes sod all to the forum, he's obviously gotten 8000 posts through gen chat.

Insulting everyone ?

Not everyone mate , just witless ring kissers like yourself , although asking if you "have an opinion thats worth listening to " can hardly be classed as an insult .Maybe you're just the "sensitive" type ? .

I'm all for it as long as they don't start interfearing too much, fifth richest man in the world! sounds good to me :)

From the official site:

Rick Parry, Chief Executive of Liverpool, said: "This is the latest step on the road of finding the long-term investment that the Club needs. DIC is a potential investor with the resources and philosophy that we believe could make them an ideal partner. Already they have demonstrated a full understanding of, and respect for, the club’s heritage and values. We also believe they share our passion for success. In particular, DIC believes in investing in the businesses it acquires. This is very important in terms of the proposed new stadium, which is key to plans for the regeneration of the local community. On the pitch, Liverpool remains focused on winning and, here again, this is all about doing a deal that gives us the long-term resources to do that."

hmmmmm I dunno about all this buyout business but i know id rather have been bought out by Dubai holdings rather than the Glaziers or a dodgy russian mafia hoodlum. This Arab family have invested a lot of money into horse racing in Ireland and I havent heard any complaints about them ever, quite the opposite actually so at least we seem to be being sold to someone with a good track record at the very least.
