Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Postby redsince2001 » Mon Oct 23, 2006 8:12 pm

So its time to seperate the glory hunters from the true liverpool fans...its easy to be a supportive  when ur team has just won the greatest prize in club football and the oldest english club competition back to back....but its during times like these dat we need to show why we are the greatest club in the world........

Instead of whinning,crying,abusing,..............lets give the players and Rafa our support till the end of the season......I know Rafa's gettin things wrong atm and the players look like they hav had their balls cut.... :D   but  we can get thru this and emerge stronger then ever........

"The work goes on, the cause endures, the hope still lives and

the dreams shall never die."

PEOPLE AGREEING WITH ME AND WILLING TO TAKE A VOTE OF CONFIDENCE IN RAFA AND THE PLAYERS REPLY ....OTHERS  DONT  SPOIL IT!!!!!

LETS SEE HOW MANY TRUE FANS WE GOT IN HERE!!! N REMEMBER ITS A VOTE....REPLY ONLY ONCE!

I'm with you all the way - this is a time to back Rafa and the lads, not moan about things.

Rafa won us the CL and he will do things his way, so just back him and see how we get on with the rest of the season.

We might need to be patient because the new signings are gonna take a while to settle and get used to Rafa's methods though.

Every team goes through bad times, unfortunately this is ours, but you can't lose hope.  It's a combination of things (rotation, Steve.Gs missus etc etc).

We'll come through this stronger and more hungary.  We'll also prove to the rest of EPL that we are no slouches.

Rafa gets my full support, as does any LFC team,

which I have no doubt is the same for the vast majority of fans venting their anger in the forums

A lot of the critisism does come from true supporters,

their just wearing their hearts on their sleeves,

Like we ALL do at times.

I have every confidence in Rafa and the players and I will always support Liverpool Football Club through thick and thin.

I will also, however, defend the right of members on this board to voice their dissatisfaction with our current standard of play, the players, the manager, etc.  That's part of what being a true fan means--calling a spade a spade.  I don't always agree with the analyses but I wouldn't wish to deny people their right to voice them.

At the end of the day 95% of us on here are Liverpool fans through and through and we'll stick by the lads and the manager through this latest rough patch.  The other 5% are self-absorbed wind-up merchants who need a better hobby. :nod

There's absolutly nothing wrong in constructive critisism , but some of the glory hunting sh!te spouted on here of late is annoying to say the least, yes we are p!ssed off at the minute , and yes we have issues with certain things happening with the team. The one thing most of us have in common is we want rafa and the team to get it right ( which they will i'm certain of it,). So lets not ask for sackings and certain players to be sold, lets scream louder than ever that we support the manager and the team who will lead us to glory.

As the song goes YOU WILL NEVER WALK ALONE.

Liverpool supporters always stand by their team and manager. This is a difficult time, players don't become bad overnight and a manager like Benitez has not lost his touch. With time things will improve. We'll just have to wait for Benitez to get it right. Dare I say it .. Alex Ferguson, took time to get it right at Manc' :censored:. Benitez talked of 3 seasons before being able to challenge for the title.

I agree mate, nothing wrong with a good moan, it gets it out of your system and then we can get back to giving full support for the next game.

Rafa and the team will soon get it sorted and we will all be wondering what all the fuss was about.

There's no vote of confidence needed. Benitez is a world class manager and this is a very good squad, by the end of the season everyone will be singing his praises again.

At the end of the day, if Liverpool fc is written on your heart and is pulsating through your veins,
then there isn't much else you can do but hang in there and wait for the tide to turn.

They do say that the darkest hour is just before the dawn.....

BENITEZ: WE ALL MUST PULL TOGETHER
Steve Hunter 23 October 2006

Rafael Benitez has called on all of his staff and players to work together and help get Liverpool back on the winning trail once again.
The Liverpool manager believes hard work is the key to improving the Reds fortunes on the field.

"Now is the time for the manager, the captain and all my staff to work together to help all the players," said a defiant Benitez.

"For the last two weeks we've all been doing this, and now we must try even harder.

"I said to the players straight after the game that there's nothing they can do about what happened now, but they have to show everyone they have character. We know they have the quality, but maybe sometimes you need even more than this.

"When you're Liverpool Football Club, you know you have a responsibility to try to win every game and play well. Maybe this is not always possible, but it's what we try to do.

"In the first 25 minutes against Manchester United, we were okay. We had possession in attacking areas, but didn't create clear chances.

"The players worked hard, but it's clear we need to recuperate their confidence now. We can only do this by training and winning games. It's not going to happen in two games, but over a longer period.

"Key players are not at their level. We have a strong spine to our team, but if you analyse things you can see where we need to improve.
