gattuso would be a quality player to snap up, especially if milan were to get relegated (which i doubt).
i reckon that gattuso would wan't to be a player who starts every game though, whereas we are looking for a player
willing to come in as a back up like hamman did last year.

If Rafa was looking for someone in the twilight of their career to be a bit-part player, he would've kept Didi.

Who was that youngster who was being touted as part of the Cisse deal with Marseille? Was it Nasri?

thinking about, i don't think rafa will sign a new defensive midfielder. there's no need imo.
sure, it would be nice to have cover. but i believe we have enough player to mix and match an effective central midfield.

Possible Defensive Midfielders-
-Sissoko,
-Alonso,
-Gerrard,
-Carragher?
-Antwi (Maybe a bit too early for him)

Possible Attacking Midfielders-
-Gerrard,
-Zenden,
-Alonso,
-Garcia?

Btw, is it actually confirmed that hamman is leaving liverpool? or is it just a rumour/possibility?

Yes is was Nisri but Marseiile will try to not use him in that deal if they can help it as he is a promising players and they could get quite a bit for him.
