bolton seems to be angry…
Bolton boss Sam Allardyce says he is "disappointed" by Dietmar Hamann's decision to join Manchester City after agreeing a move to the Reebok Stadium.
City paid Bolton compensation but Allardyce believes the 32-year-old midfielder misled him and the club.
"Hamann didn't tell the full story when he tried to get out of the agreement he had with us," Allardyce said.
"I am the only manager to get £400,000 for a player who never kicked a ball for the club."
Liverpool released Hamann at the end of last season and announced on Tuesday that he had joined Bolton after seven successful years at Anfield.
Shortly afterwards, it was revealed the German midfielder would be joining Manchester City on a free transfer instead after being lured by reports the club wanted to sign him.
Hamann signed a two-year deal at Eastlands and Allardyce, though he missed out on his man for the second time, is happy to have swelled Bolton's coffers in a bit of brisk business.
"He and his agent resurrected interest in Bolton after we'd missed out on him 12 months before," Allardyce said.
"Didi Hamann is a history breaker. This is the best transfer deal I have ever done in my life.
"Now my whole thought process is channelled to strengthening the squad here."
