didnt city reject 7.5mil for barton back in jan?

Wasnt he involved in a fight during City's pre season tour. He seems like a bit of a ruff neck but if he did im sure hes sort his act out. And fif he hasnt signed a new contract then im sure he wouldnt cost as much as 7.5M.

Wouldn't want Barton here anyhow, no room for ego's here. I mean Bellamy is going to be a handful enough. If we end up signing Barton we may as well go the whole hog and sign Bowyer aswell!  :Oo:

From what i have read there has been no mention at all of Barton joining LFC... The only mention of Barton is that he is off to Borough and City need another midfielder. Just because they sign Didi does not mean he will be a direct replacement....

THANKS for your service Didi.... All the best

He apparently shoved a lit cigar into a (youth ?) players eye ,then got into a ruck with one of the senior players . Barton was sent home (from thailand) in disgrace . I was suprised that City didn't immediately show him the door . I'm even more suprised the some members in here would like to see a half baked uneducated psycopath with at best average skill signing for LFC .

:no  jeezuz h christ , where do some of you f'uckheads come from , Planet Ug ?.

stephen appiah is a good player. had an impressive world cup, but i fear he would cost too much.

Forget about Barton.  People go on about how we shouldn't sign the likes of Pennant and Anelka and how we shouldn't have signed Bellamy because they're 'bad news'.  To me Barton sounds the worst of the lot, and he's got nowhere near the footballing talent of the other 3 I've mentioned.

Someone mentioned Appiah.  He is easily worth the 7 million quoted, he's a good player, but not for us.  Wouldn't be first choice and that's too much to spend on a reserve.  Wenger is sniffing around him.

Looks like Albert Zapater maybe replacing Didi then.

http://www.marca.com/edicion....72.html

Basicly saying The Zaragoza President reported as saying yesterday that they have made their last offer to the player.
They will not improve it.
Interesting part is he says "The player has a variety of options that allow him to make certain choices, we are not however thinking of selling him".

Or maybe no one will come and we play Zenden in CM?

Good luck Kaizer you where great.  :(

That Albert Zapater player seems like the most logical replacement, some of the other links have been silly. Who ever comes in will have to realise that Gerrard, Alonso and Sissoko are ahead of them in the pecking order and are unlikely to be dislodged, its a real shame that Didi is leaving, I defiantly have kept him, maybe Rafa wants to lower the wage bill, but seems a strange decision to me as last season Hamann said he was happy with his contribution and was looking forward to the coming season, he must have been pushed by Rafa.

Its hard to say Luke, Rafa is wanting to build his OWN team now out of Houlliers buys how many will be in the starting 11 next season?
Three Finnan, Hyypia and Riise you can see he is gradually getting shut. Hence players brought in this transfer window for all them positions.

I didnt want Didi to leave but he's to good to be just a squad player IMO and his own I suppose.
He has plenty of playing time left in him, and great experienced head on his shoulders.
Such a shame he's gone but if Rafa wants quicker, hungrier players then Didi didnt fit the bill.
Smoking 20 ciggies a day probably didnt impress Rafa either.

Im sure he will do well at City Pearce aint daft he can see the fella is still quality.

Zapater I havent ever heard of him so I cannot comment on him, but the fact we are interested in him will be because he's young, supposed to be tough in breaking up play in attacks and tough tackling.

But he will have to be gradually brought into the team cause no one will dislodge, Gerrard, Sissoko or Alonso barring injury or rest.

We have Bellamy, maybe we will sign Jermaine Pennant, Anelka and maybe we might get Barton.

"crazygang or champion gang" ?

Hmmm...

Joko said virtually the same thing in another thread.  Coincidence?  I doubt it!  :D
