That time when I was a rent-boy and Judge approached me... :D

Probably when I helped my brother out fitting false walls and ceilings in a Nike store at Birmingham's Bullring. His workmate was ill, so he needed someone to help him, but as I'd never done it before, I had to do all the f*cking sh*t stuff like tw*tting metal into shape with a hammer and carrying 8'x5' plaster boards which weighed a f*cking ton!

I could never be a labourer. It's a f*cking nightmare. :D

Unblocking poo pipes can't be to nice.

On that note when I was at college (doing gas central heating) a young fella told me about his weeks work during his apprentice ship. Anyway he was cutting a cast iron soil pipe with an angle grinder and as the silly tw@t cut through the pipe, human excrement sprayed all over him.

Apparently you cut the iron with another tool to prevent this happening. :D

Rather than telling how important is to study to your sons, I'd rather give all the lads "a chance" to work like you did. I'm sure that after two weeks of practice, they'd all pay more attention to their studies later.

Helping my dad to pick up fruits in  his lands was the hardest thing I've ever done. Specially the vineyards are bástards, as you have to bend over and you end up with back pain. Only to realise that the guys that are paid to do that, pick up 10x what you have picked in the same time :D At some point I decided that the books aren't that bad after all.

I remember aswell when he convinced me to pick up plums in August. Ok Daddy, I'll help you. I said. Idiot. I should have known better, as they must be picked at 6 am, because somehow it's bad to pick up them under a heavy sun.

But it was nice experience, I learnt to respect the people who earn their life that way and encouraged me to study. :)

Study guys, study, otherwise only cráp works will show up. Unless you're the son of a millionaire, needless to say.

I remember(non too fondly) working in a pre-prepared frozen meal place, the plastic tubs were on a conveyor belt and we had to throw in the pasta, ham mushrooms etc whilst some muppet line manager would inspect the quantity of mushrooms or whatever you lashed in. On nights as well. However this was nothing compared to the 6 months I survived as Scaffolders labourer, christ on on bike.......

Picked strawberries for a day once as a teenager, Sabre, so I know what you mean.  All day in the hot sun, hunched over was murder!  But that was only one day.

My worst summer job was working at a chicken plant.  Especially the area where they make all of the processed nuggets etc for the fast food restaurants.  That job will turn anyone's stomachs!

So, I'll echo Sabre's advice--hit them books hard kids--and add my own: don't buy any chicken products that aren't shaped like a part of the bird (anything formed into "nuggets", stars, patties or other shapes are loaded with sh!te).  :no

Some of you lads obviously haven't experienced the horror of a sand leaking minge with spiders dancing across it .

The horror is second only to the Granny removing her teeth and gummily asking you back to her place for a "cup of tea "  :wwww   :wwww   :wwww .
