Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Postby banana » Mon May 10, 2004 11:31 am

Ever since I have been a member of this forum I have witnessed an increasing amount of spam posts. I must say the last two days have been really bad. I beg you guys to please stop. This forum is now in danger of dying because of you.

I will definately retire from this forum if this continues. I have always tried to use logic and to be constructive when I post. I accept that people disagree with me, and I often disagree with others. When I disagree with a post I reply and explain why I see things differently. This is the way we should work in here. Name calling and abusive language only make things worse.

I am chilled out, the first part of my post was meant for amusement only.

The problem I have is I take offence to people like banana who think that just because some people on this forum may not be as articulate, or as good as expressing themselves as him, that all their efforts to get their point across should be simply labeled SPAM and totally disregarded. This is utter tosh, and there are some excellent postees on this forum, and just because they are not as well versed does not mean they should be stopped. This forum is for man and child, male and female, and people of all colours creed and abilities. I cant stand pompus gits telling people they are not welcome or good enough for this forum.

I am not articulate or very intelligent. I am only trying to be rational and not use abusive language. I am honest and fair to most people, and I will never have a swing at someone just because they don't share my own views. I was just making my point that all good post and posters will soon be gone if things don't change. This is an adverse selection problem. And Mr Leon; please do not take everything so personally?

This forum has seen better days.

Many of the old stalwarts haven't posted in a long time.

Very true JBG - I'm finding it a bit of a struggle these days - not like it was a month or so back.
Lets hope it improves, eh.

agreed, the quality of posts has declined,

tone it down guys,
-put your point accross,
-don't insult anyone for disagreeing with you,
-don't degrade anyone elses ideas by calling it "utter rubbish" or worse.
Football is a simple game, all you have to do is pass the ball to a player in a red shirt.

i think the main problem is that we havent had too much to talk about football wise.. well not that much that has been uplifting. Wait til next season when we win everything and see things change, we are just all getting restless i think. Euro 2004 will perk things up as well and when we claim 4th place (please god let us claim 4th!) then things will be better as well

Spot on Dawson. I totally agree. We'll have to see how many Latvians join the Forum!
