Oh well looks like i'll have to simply reserve my judgement on what will happen if he returns. Sounds like most would welcome him. Thanks for the comments and debate though.

i dont want him back. he cant wear the top with that much pride if he was willing to leave us so quickly.
Liverpool is much bigger than MO, and we can do without him

Who is better out there that we can afford?

If any of the rumours are true (big if??!!) We may be able to get him back for 11 million. Who else of his quality could we get for that knd of price?

id rather have defoe than owen. Owen left us, tried to see if the grass was greener, and it wasnt. tough for him.
(of course if we do sign him i will be happy lol)

You can't seriously compare Owen to Defoe.

OK.. apart from the fact they are both little and quick..

Does anyone know what there goals to games ratio is? I reckon Owens is considerably better...

yeah but owen left us. and hes only been at newcastle for half a season with his injuries. if he left now he would be the most hated man in newcastle ever, and owen just isnt like that. so he wont leave in my opinion.

i want someone who is proud to wear the top, not someone coming snivvelling back because it all went wrong when he abandoned us
