he is a pile of sh'ite, fast but shi'te, i would have ping pong any time because he actually looks like a footballer, i had never seen cissie play before he signed for us and reading on here  i thought we had signed the next henry,

sell him to everton, reading,or fulham for 10 mill or swap him with owen

Won't get 1o mill for him now, 7 or 8 if we're lucky, more likely 5 or 6

i know but you live in hope ???

owen swap is the best we could hope for, cash wise we got done and i hope ciggy is right about the money because at least we aren't losing 14 mill, but at 4 mill he would have still been a flop.

I think its more Morientes we should unload the man has turned total usless in the box and has been doing naff all for us .
it beats me how he gets in the starting 11 every match . at least if  CISSIE get the ball  he has a go unlike morientes how is more likley to trip over the ball in his curent form.

why doesn't cisse play ??? easy just watch him -- never will he challenge the goaltender when he is gathering the ball, just stops and walks off with his head down -- crosses are awful, first touch doesn't exist -- he will not defend -- and just acts like its his team--it ain't its rafa's

he has speed and size -- thats it

and besides he was offside on one of fowlers disallowed goals and thats enuff for me

If this is true it might explain why Rafa has been playing Morientes regually-he knows Cisse cannot play many more matches or Liverpool will have to pay Auxerre a sum of money so he gives Morientes as long run of games in the hope he will find some form and he won't have to resort to Cisse, it backfired though as Morientes is piss poor

This still doesn't explain why pongolle went on loan though

I don't think we'll be seeing Cisse on anyone's starting XI/Subs from now on :D

Anyway, if this is the case noone can have any complaints that he's not playing. :nod

Takes 2 to tango, and I think Pongo had resorted to getting a move on loan

I have complaints...! If the board didn't want to pay Auxerre why didn't they sell him in January.  What is the point of keeping a player and paying his wages if you're not going to play him?  His value will only go down becuase he's not getting game time/perceived as not good enough/perceived as not being able to get along with the team etc etc.

I can't believe that we only discovered the clause after the January window was closed - even Parry can't be that inept - and IMO it's a bit far fetched to suggest that Rafa wanted to keep Cisse on the books as an insurance policy incase of injury to Crouch or Nando as it would have made more sense to hang on to Flo Po in that case.

I think the story is another magnificent work of fiction by a London reporter looking to sell a few papers myself.  If you assume otherwise and take into account Rafa's comments after the Supercup it suggests that the Cisse situation is a bit of a debacle with very poor management by the board and Rafa and I'd prefer not to go there....   :suspect:

Ciggy wrote:Someone on another forum who has inside info on the club has said, the reason Cisse doesnt hardley play is that if he makes another 3 appearences starting 11 or sub doesnt matter.
It triggers a clause in his contract that we have to pay Auxerre a dirtybig sum of money that would see Cisse earning more than he already is.
So maybe he did not cost 14 million maybe that was the price based on appearences same as Rooney and Walcott?

Makes the situation more understandable now why he doesnt play that often and Rafa is right in not choosing him if this is the case, as we didnt have the benefit of him for nearly a season due to injury.

So if this is true in my eyes you cant blame the club for not wanting to give a penny more him TBH.

well have you got any proof of this?

Only Cisse, his agent, rafa and Rick Parry could know this.

Not some doods down a Liverpool pub on a friday night.

wheres your proof?

And Crouch no goals, Fowler no goals.

Guys don't forget that its not only Mori that are missing chances, our other strikers arent exactly setting the high standards. The worst is that, from all the hard work we put in, there doesn't seem to anyone that can capitalise on any half-chances.

Crouch's headers are AWOL, the linesmen can't get around the fact that Fowler is back and scoring goals, and Mori is wasting chances by either taking too long or too short to strike the ball. Cissy is a waste of space, at least the others are working their @sses off for the team, Cissy just stand there like a stunned mullet, hands in the air, thinking about new patterns for his hair.

Then this would trigger the appearence clause so what would be the piont in that?
If he plays 3 more times for us, than we have to pay Auxerre money.
They ripped us off in the first place they are not getting any more money for him no chance.
As I say I dunno how true it is, but it will be interesting to see now with 9 games left (F.A.Cup games excluded) how many times we actually see him?

Appearance clauses are triggered by how many games you have for the club you were transfered to.  I don't see how loaning him out would in any way trigger the clause Auxerra have in regards to Liverpool FC.   At least, that's how clauses normally work.

I'm sure Rafa will play him when he could really be needed, IE. a counter attacking match, but leave him 1 under the agreed number of matches in the clause.  He does give us pace, and in some matches pace is a very useful asset.
