This statement just goes to show the kind of influence that the press, and in particular the tabloid (or gutter) have on the thinking of people these days.

The old addage that if you throw enough shi.t then eventually some will stick is clear here.

This member is now convinced that there is a good chance that Rafa will leave for Madrid just because of the number of times the story has appeared in the papers.

Scary.

I don't know. The tabloids usually get everything right, you know. Their job is to inform the people of goings on, not sell papers and advertising space by whatever means. Making up or exaggerating  stories, and twisting people's words around. Do you honestly think they would go to such lows? I know I don't. Personally, I am still waiting for Aston Villa to announce the signing of Xabi Alonso. It hasn't happened yet, but it will. I know it's just a matter of time..

WTF?? Have i missed something, did rafa resign today? Why are all you imbeciles acting like its happened and rafas on his way to madrid, god your talking about the subject like he has gone, talking about which players and coaching staff will follow him etc. Has the world gone insane? I see no reason whatsoever to worry at the moment

Specialist, with all due respects you come across as someone who can't have a debate without being offensive, in all honesty you're an (A)rsehole

Benitez has created this whirlwind speculation because everytime it has arose in the past he hasn't given a definate answer. Which usually means they are considering it now or at a later date.

There is nothing that suggests Benitez will definately stay, if there is then I stand corrected and one of you posters on here can post up the article as evidence.

Let's hope that Sven wins the World Cup, then goes to Real and stays for a while.

This Raffa to Real business is doing my head in.

I come across as an a.rsehole, but yet you are the only one insulting people in this thread. You claiming that I can't debate someone without offending them is a little ridiculous. I've had about 30 posts on here, and have never insulted or tried to offend anyone with my initial postings in any thread. People have insulted me and talked down to me, though, and I admit that I have perhaps been a bit immature in responding to that. That is about it, though. I didn't post in this thread to debate you, I posted because I agreed with what Leonmc0708 said about people sometimes taking what they read a bit too seriously. That is all. If you got offended by my obviously jokey comments, the problem you have is not with me but with yourself. You are easily offended. I never called you an a.rsehole or anything, did I?  It seems that you are the one who can't handle anything and are quick to lash out. That's what you are showing now..

p.s. Did I not read about Rafa addressing the Real Madrid links a couple days, or am I wrong here...

Well here I was thinking that "I want to stay for 20 years" and "Rafa will see out his contract" meant that he was going to stay!!!

If he had any intention of moving to Mad-rid, why the feck would he have sealed a deal for the Argentine CB, and a trial for the Kenyan lad?

Time to get real folks. The papers talk out of their backsides, and the best manager in the world will ALWAYS be linked with Real.

That's just how it is.

rafa is not going nowhere. He is staying with the mighty reds. we all he suppors real. If he did go to real he will take half of the lpool players with him, that will leave us in the :censored: again, we then have to rebuild the team again and that will take a couple of years to do. did any one read the paper yesterday about Paco, if udidnt he might be going back to spain cause of family trouble over in spain as he did not bring them with him to england

what a load of sh'ite.

sorry lads but all rafa has said is that he is looking to do a fergie and build an empire!

where has 50/50 come from.  sven will be the real manager that is my guess.

rafa has been signing good young players to prepare for the future, he could have spent on big names to keep the fans happy but he has gone out and bought youth.

the average  age of his signings is 21 and that is including fowler and pellegrio?

I was voicing my concerns on the matter, whether it's a load of :censored: to you or not. Rafa has since quashed these rumours, so this post has no relevance anymore.

ok mate but alot of people keep churning this one up at the moment, it must be bad for martin o neil because he gets linked with every job going!

on the note of coaching staff , paco is on his way because of family commitments , rafa is doing all he can to keep him because he has alot of faith in him and would be hard to replace

Even his successor has said things will remain the Perez way i.e. the board will interfere so rafa cant go there,ya the president of club has changed but not his powers.
