Glad manu won - Another feguson year

The Premiership - General Discussion

Postby Big Niall » Mon Feb 27, 2006 1:58 pm

I'm glad Manu won yesterday, I've never rated that trophy (even when our "treble" year) and that takes a bit of pressure off Fergie and keeps him there another year.

Another year to buy substandard players and maybe another Veron. I think he has lost his touch and Manu will not resurrect under his guide. He was a great manager but can't spot players the way he used to.

Long live Fergie

Isn't it funny how people dismiss this trophy as being "a mickey mouse" trophy n yet when their team gets to the final it becomes a major part of their campaign/season. Hyporcrisy!

No trophy is a joke, just because it doesn't hold the creditial of other trophies like Champions League or FA Cup doesn't mean it's a joke.

I agree with Big Naill.  The longer Fergie stays the better.  Viva, Fergie!

I also agree with Oasis, that any trophy is worth winning.  Imagine telling your Grandkids that you won nothing...or on the other hand showing them your cup winners' medal.  If you've got a dozen other medals fair enough, but wasn't that Rooney's first?  There are some good players that only ever get one or two medals.

UTD had O' Shea and Giggs in centre field.

The words "soon" "found" "out" come to mind.

Sorry while i can understand the sentiment, the words im glad Man U won will never pass from my lips. The only  exception is if  them beating another league team gives Liverpool the title
While league cup doesnt have same cred as CL or FA cup, dismissing it as mickey mouse does a disservice to our very proud record in that competition
