The prem, champions league and fa cup - Your predictions

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

i have a bad feeling about benfica that we are going to get knocked out by them, it all seems 2 fit..hopefully im wrong. If we beat them then semis.

FA cup- win it, its our year. I can see us playing newcastle in the final that would make a good one, Alan shearers last year and last chance to win a trophy and owen playing against us in a final. I cant see us facing chelsea for some reason, can see them getting knocked out unexpectedly in another round

Prem- 2nd, we have an easier round of fixtures in a long run towards the end of the season that i hope we can build a run on and grab 2nd. If i was going to be highly optimistic i would say win it, chelsea arent themselves lately and we could nick it  :D

I know sozzz mate im just shocked that there is a fellow liverpool fan in the world that thinks were going to get beat by Benfica there about as good as everton mate.

Trust me and Rafa we will be in the draw for the next round off the champions league.

yeah i know we should destroy them and im not saying i think we will get beat i just meant that i do have some concerns over the tie and feel we might take it a bit too lightly. Hopefully we will get it spot on as usual though and nab at least a draw at their place then smash them at home.

EPL - I think we will finish second because we have easier games left than United but I wouldn't mind finishing third either.

FA Cup - I'd say that we have a 25% chance of winning it.

CL - We are a better team this year but I still think it will be really hard for us to win it again. I'd give us a 7% chance to win it.

I'm happy with us finishing third in the EPL and I'm allready please with our efforts in the FA Cup and I'll be pleased with our CL run if we manage to beat Benfica.

There is no need to put to much preassure on the lads.

EPL - 2nd I rekon quite comfortably too........ well 5 or 6 pts :D

FAC - We'll beat Brum, Then beat Bolton in the Semi's, Beat the Barcodes in the Final.

CL - I really dont know what to expect, of course everyone dreams of a repeat of last year. Id be overjoyed with a semi final place for starters but i wont dare think past there.........Just yet!!

To be honest, although we're unquestionably better than United right now, whether or not we actually finish in 2nd will depend on how far we go in Europe.  An extended run to the semis or the final could see our league form suffer and with no distractions for United I could see them pipping us to 2nd.  Despite some people seeming to think we're invincible these days, our squad doesn't yet have good enough strength in depth when Benitez needs to rest players.

If we get past Benfica, which for some reason I have a bad feeling about, then too much depends on the draw to realistically predict how well we'll do.  Us winning it last season and Porto the year before pretty much confirms that the Champions League is the most unpredictable competition in World Football at the moment.

The FA Cup I have a feeling we'll win.  I expect us to give Birmingham a bit of a hiding, we certainly owe them a hammering and I have a feeling we'll somehow avoid playing Chelsea at all and win it.

As Rafa says ,one game at a time I think we can beat anybody.
But for the topic's sake let's say:
2nd in Premiership is a possibility.
FA Cup- Very hard fixtures ,away to Birmingham & even if we beat them still Newcastle/Chelsea & Bolton are there.Tough one but I'll be content even if we don' win it cause surely Chelsea are going to be in the final & how much would i love to see them beaten by us it is very difficult.I'd rather lose in the semi than getting beat again by chelsea.............but who knows?
As for the Champions league, realistically i would think of last 8 ........After that some class teams will be remaining & it will be too difficult...........then again who knows??
But one thing for sure- If we lose against Benfica I'll be very-very disappointed.

Fa Cup: Depends if we meet chelsea again!

Champions league....Last 16.

Its a bit doom and gloom this post, but LFc play so hard and work so well one game, but can F*ck it up the next!

So hard to tell.
