People think that Viera was plucked out of thin air and all of a sudden became a world class player. Viera was already a good player, and when he arrived and played his first few games for Arsenal it was clear that he was a very good player who could and probably would become an excellent player.

Needs to learn a bit more about the tactical side of the game, improve his short passing skills and learn not to dive in all the time. Very raw, but certainly been a good addition.

Do you think that the majority of forum members here are regular attendees at Anfield - I think not. Your just lucky to live where you do, if I was within 2 hours of liverpool I'd be a season ticket holder. Alas i'm not so I have to make do. Boo Hoo!!
I appreciate Vieira for the player he is now, not who he used to be. I also see the same potential as Rafa sees in Sissoko.
Lets agree to disagree. Only time is going to prove either of us right
Vieira's not what he used to be?
Maybe, slightly, but look at Arsenal since he left...

Viera is half the player he was, and thats why arsenal sold him. the last 2 seasons he wasnt anything special, but i agree in his day he was the best at what he did.
what a lot of people dont realise tho is that at that same time didi hamman was doing exactly the same for us. i cant remember the exact numbers but according to OPTA stats didi was actually outscoring Viera on more than one count. But did was never a fashionable player, if he went past the half way line he got a nosebleed and he wouldnt sell as many papers as viera.
now all the hype on sissoko is unfair, let him be his own player. hes still wild now but once he matures a bit he will shw the genius that he can be
