We were lacking a goalscorer, and now we've got one of the best in the business.

Oh, and for the record - who'd dare bet against TWO of our strikers going to the World Cup this summer? I backed Robbie as an outside bet while he was at Man City a couple of weeks ago, but with our midfield behind him, I think the odds of him forcing into Sven's squad have just shortened dramatically.

I am absolutely shaking here. I had warning that this was going to happen, and I still can't believe it.

So how many here are getting a Fowler shirt as soon as they know his squad number?

Does anyone remember we had this last jan transfer window,i wanted him back desperatly then,this time i wasn't so sure as i thought the club had moved on.I'm now absolutly over the moon he's back because we're in a no lose situation.If robbie does nothing between now and the end of the season,he still would have done more than cisse. If he scores a shed load of goals ,he earns a new contract and will be with us for a few more years yet.We can't lose with this transfer ,its a crackin bit of business by Rafa and the board.

I said to me mum yesterday Fowlers comin back yer know, me mum said goway is he oh Ill be made up if he is, was in work today me mum rang me mobile he's signed she shouted down the fone, I was in the middle of doing so awl ones hair

I said Ive got to go now Mrs left the awl ones hair ashow and fecked off home to get SKY on and the internet :laugh:

everything GH took apart rafa is putting back together. passion at the club, world class players what a season to be a liverpool fan. it feels like the last 10 years have been in the darkness, and now we are beging to see the light YNWA

man city have been class in not trying to stand in robbies way

phil tompson was just on sky and he makes me smile because he is like one of the lads down the pub not a season pro who has been made bitter by the game and money. he was chuffed for robbie and the club

hes not going to say anything else........If i remember it was Thompson who virtually got Robbie transfered.

Many thanks to Stuart Pearce for doing the right thing. He could have stood in the way, but he's put the player first and that's to be applauded.

Don't want to linger on the issue for too long, but I have been seriously impressed with Pearce generally of late. Whether or not Rob's signing works out for us, I think the next time we entertain City, their gaffer deserves a real, warm round of applause from us.
