Yes, he'll have 1 or 2 games where  he'll relive some of the old magic, but he can't do it week in week out.  Come the Summer, why don't you become his agent, he'll need all the help he can get in finding a new club  :D

Right, so if City didn't play to suit Fowler he wouldn't have scored more than the 28 in 90 in he already has? Has he not made, are you ready for this? 32 sub appearances out of the 90 and maybe another few were starts, again, don't you think this would have upped his goalscoring ratio?

You say his pace has left him? When did Fowler EVER have pace? I can't remember him ever having any.

His touch has gone? Wheres the evidence? His desire? He didn't want to score goals in his last two games? Nar didn't think so.

Again, you repeat... in bold the... No-one else rates him so they are right and you're wrong arguement. I've asked a few times now, back this up with something else other than that arguement, 5 posts later, i'm still waiting.

Stu..............the basic fact that backs up my 'noone wants Fowler' arguement is this.

His contract is not going to be renewed by City-- Man City don't want him

He's been offered to football teams in the Premiership and Championship, but no offers- no one else wants him.

is THAT simple enough for you?

Good arguement! :)

Stu....i haevn't changed my opinion and he's only on loan til the end of the season....unless Fowler proves me otherwise, i still don't rate him.

He's not on loan. He's signed a contract untill the end of the season. You're "opinion" is clueless!

lol....yeah stu, you shot me down in flames there....

Not happening, but the rumours are about to start i would think...

Notice I said this on the 17th of January.

Like i said Leon, I am superstitious and didn't want to jinx it. Regardless of what i've heard i didn't want to get my hopes up. Look back through the thread, notice it dropped off for a few days then i dragged it back up.

This is no time for petty spat's lads Robbie is coming home!!

As you always say Stu when arguing about Carra, a good player elsewhere can become a great player can be a great player when playing for a team he loves!

Step forward GOD prove the doubters wrong!! :bowdown

Sorry! So chuffed couldn't write properly!

Unbelievable. The club has apparently searched everywhere for a solution to the striker crisis. With only 3 days to go before the transfer window closes and since there is no money available we get Fowler back.

First of all let's get a couple of things straight,

Negatives
1. Fowler is a fringe player at Man City
2. His best years are behind him
3. His body has taken a lot of hits and kicks over the years so his joints and legs are not what they were

Positives
1. He loves the club and the fans love him
2. He will give 120% effort every single minute he gets to play
3. It is a cheap option

I do think that Fowler can partner Crouch up front. He is a fox in the box and will thrive on Crouch's flicks and kicks. Fowler is a smart player with brains so he can succeed.

BUT I have major doubts. His fitness, his skills on the ball, his technique, his pace, his stamina, etc suggests he is a dead cat. A potential disaster.

But Cisse and Morientes are disasters too. So why not? I guess we should have kept Baros after all?

Now that he is home and where he belongs, he has the determination, and most of all, he has the natural ability and a great footballing brain to realise his dreams once again at Anfield.

Liverpool Football Club are delighted to announce that Robbie Fowler has rejoined the club on a free transfer from Manchester City until the end of the season when the situation will be reviewed.
Fowler, 30, completed the formalities of what is a sensational move this afternoon.

The Manchester City striker is ineligible to play in Sunday's FA Cup tie against Portsmouth but could make an emotional reappearance in front of the Kop against Birmingham City on Wednesday.

Toxteth-born Fowler originally shot to prominence with the Reds in the autumn of 1993 and quickly established himself as one of the most lethal finishers in Europe.

After breaking countless goalscoring records and captaining the club during the unforgettable treble season of 2000/01, his adoring fans were left stunned when he was transferred to Leeds United in November 2001.

His spell at Elland Road was to be short-lived though and in early 2003 he moved back across the Penines to join Manchester City.

Now he's back at his spiritual home and news of his Liverpool return will no doubt be greeted with euphoria by his loyal legion of followers.

With so much still to play for this season, Rafael Benitez will be hoping that Fowler can now turn back the clock and reproduce his once prolific form in front of goal as the Reds chase Champions League and Premiership glory.

Banana im afraid im gonna have to disagree with your doubts over fowlers technique and skills on the ball, no player ever loses technique, the man is a genius at putting the ball in the net!
look at the amount of chances we create to man city, and look at the amount of chances that our strikers miss, fowler is capable of being cool headed and banging over half of those chances away, with pako getting him in tip top shape the man will score goals for fun!

GOD IS BACK

Maybe it wouldn't be fair to Fowler to judge him on half a season.

Most probably he will get few appearances becos he isn't really fit and that you won't really play someone regularly when he hasn't got used to a new system.

Just hope that everyone gives fowler a chance beyond this season.

And I can't imagine the pressure Benetiz would face from the fans if he had to 'offload' fowler in the end!

Mr. Benetiz, your perfect opportunity to prove that Houllier made a mess of the club! Bring out the best in the God GH discarded!

Imagine Houllier's reaction when he read about Fowler's rejoining

THERE ARE NO NEGITIVES!!!

GOD is back on a free transfer to the club he was born to play for and the supporters who adore him, Im so fuc*in happy its untrue.

:D   :D   :D

This is fu*king great, a legend is back, but Rafa must be thanked as well for making this happen, he knew what the supports wanted, he knew what Robbie wanted and he has brought us both back together.

Fact is free transfer you cant really fail with, Morientes and Cisse cost 20 Million, after last week this should give all the boys a good lift except maybe those 2, but i dont care to be honest!!!
