What a steal. This is better than winning the Champions league. He is the most naturally gifted striker I have ever seen in England. Liverpool is his motivation, I am so happy for him and us.

Only Robbie really had himself to blame for his demise at the club. Lets hope he gives it 100% this time, keeps himself fit and stays out of trouble. Over to you God.

Can't agree with you there mate.
Houllier was responsible for Fowlers demise.  Evans' gameplay suited Fowler with slick passing right up to their six yard box. When Houllier took over, he was more defensive and opted for pacey strikers who could counter attack hence Owen Heskey Baros - and he was also wetting himself at the arrival of Cisse. Fowler didn't fit in with that equation so he had to go.

I think that Fowler will now probably think that the hattrick he scored against scunthrope (spelling.) and one against man u were (amongst) the most important goals he has ever scored for himself.

for that convinced rafa to bring him back in my opinion.

Nifty neil fair point but do you really think that Robbie fitted in with Houlliers work ethic? Did he want to die for the shirt in his last years at Liverpool? He really seemed jaded and at the time of signing for Leeds he admitted he needed a new challenge.

cant get my mind away from fowler's return. random thoughts keep appearing in my mind.

apparently he's the only left footed striker we have?

I wonder how is fowler gonna cope with gerrard being his skipper.  :D

What excites me is given how Kewell has been slowly brought back to his best what are the possibilities for Robbie.
Yes I know I'm mad, but in 32 years as a fan ...sod it I know I'll regret this...  but I would swap the Champions league for this.

I would start him straight against Portsmouth!
Cisse and Moro can draw lots to warm the bench.
