Do we really need cisse?

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Considering money as the obvious factor, I think we should allocate it on the other areas, particularly the defends, instead of bringing Cisse in, I believe that keeping up and putting more trust with Pongolle and Baros would be more efficient. It's been proven thru their performances that Pongolle and Baros are fantastic players, yet too Big Heskey gets in the way of GH sight.

the deal is pretty much alredy done and i can't see GH backing out now, although didn't he do that with Boumsong?

Cisse wants to play for LFC even if we don't finish 4th and Houllier wants him so I think it's a bit late now.

I just hope he will not be another expensive misfit like Diouf, an "exciting" attacker who can't cross a ball even if his grandmother's life depended on it and can't hit a barn door even if it were moving in his direction!

Houllier has been a poor judge of player abilities and potential or he is just plain rubbish at turning basically good players into great ones. Either way, I pray that this so-called done deal with Cisse will not be an expensive waste.

Honestly, I don't think we need Cisse as there are other departments where more talent and steele are needed at the moment.

HAVE FAITH IN CISSE HE WILL BE VERY EXCITING AND IS MUCH BETTER THAN HESKEY, HE ACTUALLY SCORES GOALS AND RUNS AT DEFENDERS, WHICH IS WHAT HESKEY SHOULD BUT DOESNT DO!
HE IS VERY DIRECT LIKE BAROS, I WATCH A LOT OF FRENCH FOOTBALL COS I HAVE RELATIONS IN FRANCE AND HAVE SEEN AUXERRE PLAY 4 TIMES AND ON EACH I WAS IMPRESSED A LOT BY CISSE WHICH IS MORE THAN I CAN SAY FOR HESKEY! WE NEED A GOOD PARTNER FOR OWEN AND CISSE WILL FIT THE BILL PERFECTLY!
I THINK IF WE OFFLOAD HESKEY AND KEEP OWEN N CISSE AS OUR MAIN PARTNERSHIP UP FRONT WITH BAROS AND PONGOLLE AND MELLOR COMING IN AND OUT BECAUSE THEY ARE BRILLIANT RAW TALENTS, WE WILL BE VERY WELL EQUIPPED!

SO GIVE CISSE A CHANCE HE WILL BE VERY GOOD I GUARANTEE!

don't think we really need cisse. why not give baros the chance to prove himself, with pongolle and mellor on the bank? like this we could use the cisse-money to get eg. lampard!

baros and owen are too similar and have yet to gel together, ok they may not have had much of an opportunity to gel together but they are both quick strikers who run at defenders and are too small to be dominating in the air, cisse is a big player with bags of pace and skill who actually scores as well, as opposed to heskey who leaves the goalscoring to owen, we need two good goalscorers which takes the burden off owen, pongolle is small as well, and mellor is not huge either so i think cisse is a good choice, boro are really keen on heskey (suckers) so we should sell him while we can!

moores family are something like 3rd or 4th richest in england so they should finance a good central defender and right midfielder as well as cisse!

That makes me think that if Mikey doesn't sign we could be looking at Baros and Cisse as our 1st choice front two.
If Mikey does sign where does that leave Baros ? Surely he wont want to spend the season just warming the bench . ???

If LFC#1 is correct then i am so worried about Baros being not taken good care of as well as pongolle when CISSE comes.
Is it a good possibility if:
               OWEN-CISSE
    XXX-BAROS-XXX-XXXX     ???

You will agree that it is a BIG mistake if Baros being not taken into account
he's too eyecatching to be ignored that the other clubs will quickly jump out on him

milan baros has scored something like a goal every other match for his country. that's even better than michael owen i think. anyone with short sight could even see that he should be playing ahead of heskey.

but yes we do need cisse because the physical nature of the guy will be a good foil for owen, baros, sinama, who all have similar qualities. but if he does come you need to play with kewell as a LEFT WINGER and keep him there. we also need a NATURAL right winger to cross balls from that side.

Sorry guys, just found out that wasn't Cisse's stats but Auxerre's. Cisse has scored 22 so far in current running league, anybody knows the details?
