Why does everyone think Alan Smith would be a good buy? He scores about a goal every four games and has been booked more times than he has scored in the league.

Alan Smith has a similar scoring record to Heskey.
But a far worse disciplinary record. I don't know why people keep saying we should buy Smith, disciplinary problems for a return of 1 goal every three or four games is hardly the kind of signing I'd be wishing for. There's competitive and there's rash/reckless - Smith is the latter IMO.

Please excuse me if i speak out of turn (this is my first post) but i feel i should point out that biscan will be the new alan hanson - he has pace, ability to beat a man and a great range of passing. He can also switch to midfield during a game giving monsieur les optionnes. His performances in the reserves last year were top draw. You read it first here.....
Biscan might make a decent full back but I don't think he has the credentials to be a solid centre back. His mistake against Villa nearly cost us.
Someone I know reckons he'd get into sixteen Premiership XIs as a centre back and in a few years will be able to walk into any team. I'd like a puff on what he's been smoking!

You know how they call Solska(I dont know how to spell this Man POOs name), Babyface Assasin.......they should call Biscan Babyface, without the assasin. He the hairyest baby I've seen.
Interviewer: 'Would it be fair to describe you as a volatile player?'
David Beckham: 'Well, I can play in the centre on the right and occasionally on the left side.' (Man U)
